Through their songs and speeches, I started loving myself. Even though people don’t understand why I like BTS, I don’t mind! ARMY and my idols understand this. All I can say is liking and loving BTS was the best decision ever!

Leader taught me to be mature and look at both sides of the situation before coming to a decision. He taught me how to handle things calmly and taught me that being mature doesn’t mean that you should act like an old person but instead it means that you should widen your perspective in life in order to understand what’s happening around you.

World Wide Handsome taught me to be confident. I’m a shy person and I ain’t gonna deny that but seeing Jin improve himself through the years and breaking out from his shell, I realized that ain’t nobody got time for being shy. Be proud of who you are and never be afraid to express yourself because that’s what confidence is. You may miss some opportunities if you let shyness eat you. Always think if your idol can break out of the shell, then you can too!

Min Yoon-gi /Suga: Lead Rapper, Producer, Lyricist

Yoon-gi taught me to do things that makes me happy. We live in a world where expectations can’t be avoided. “Do this, do that!.” We get to hear that a lot and it might be suffocating too. A lot of people asked me that why I follow BTS? I simply said, because they make me happy, just happy! Now I don’t mind what people think! Life is too short to live by expectations of others. Do what makes you happy but make sure it brings good and positive vibe to you. Just like Suga pursued his passion for music, you pursue the hobby that makes you happy. 

Jung Ho-seok/J-Hope: Main Dancer, Sub-Rapper, Producer, Lyricist

Our hope taught me ‘happiness’. The most difficult thing to achieve in life. There was a time in my life where sadness just took over. At that time, he showed me that there is no time for sadness in life. Life is too short to be sad. Everything gets better with a sprinkle of J-Hope in life. He is J-Hope, our hope for happiness, my hope for happiness!

Park Ji-min/Jimin: Main Dancer, Lead Vocalist

Mochi taught me to appreciate small things. I know Jimin is a cute little munchkin (haha!) so I appreciate him a lot. He taught me to appreciate small details of my surroundings, like what a cloud looks like, the falling leaves, etc. He taught me to appreciate the beauty of what is happening around me. He opened my eyes to see a world that I had seen before but got never connected to!

V taught me being weird is best thing that can ever happen to a person. He taught me to be myself. Many of us are afraid to let out our true selves because we know people will judge us but we shouldn’t be afraid and let our souls be free.

Jeon Jung-kook/Jungkook: Main Vocalist, Center, Lead Dancer, Sub-Rapper, Golden Maknae

We all want to do our best right? We want to show everyone that we can do everything. The Golden Maknae taught me to do the best in everything that we can do. He made me try my hands upon those things, I never thought I would do. They made me embrace my flaws. They make me happy! If we just pursue what we want and do our best, we’ll achieve what we want.
