On June 14, K-pop fans in San Jose were treated to a vibrant and heartfelt celebration at Bobaholics, as organizers Jes and Kei hosted Gems of Gemini for A.C.E.’s Park Junhee and NCT’s Lee Haechan. Park Junhee, born June 2, 1994, is the leader and main vocalist of the boy group A.C.E. Originally from Suncheon, he trained for nearly seven years under various agencies before debuting with A.C.E in 2017. Known for his charismatic leadership and deep vocals, Junhee has also built a notable acting career. Lee Haechan, born on June 6, 2000, in Seoul, is a prominent South Korean idol best known as HAECHAN of NCT. He is one of the few members active in multiple sub-units, serving as the lead dancer and main vocalist in both NCT 127 and NCT Dream, as well as in NCT U.

Event Highlights

The event venue was transformed into a spectacular underwater world. Everywhere fans looked, the decorations brought the “merman” theme to life, and the music helped set a great mood. Fans had a great time checking out the cool photo booths and creating memories in such a special place. The whole vibe of the event wasn’t just captivating—it captured the fun and magical feel of the theme.

One of the best parts was that there was a section for showing off fan-made and official merch of Junhee and Haechan. It quickly became a favorite spot for fans to take pictures and celebrate their favourite idols.

Eight talented vendors were also featured at the venue, offering a range of K-pop goods, from art prints to accessories. Fans who purchased one of the specially crafted event drinks—named “Berried Treasure” and “Sandy Shores”—received two exclusive cup sleeves designed for the birthday celebration of Haechan and Junhee. These drinks, both refreshing and theme-coordinated, were a hit among attendees.

A game was also played, which immediately became a crowd pleaser: The Lyric Scavenger Hunt. In this game, fans who could correctly match a song’s lyrics earned a raffle ticket: the raffle prizes, a collection of giveaways from the event’s vendors.

The event had a strong turnout, with attendees enthusiastic to celebrate Haechan’s birthday and show love for Junhee, especially since A.C.E. events are a rarity in the local fan community. The underwater theme proved to be a fan-favorite, with decor that stood out and even inspired one guest to arrive dressed as Ariel from The Little Mermaid.

The positive energy was palpable throughout the venue, as fans traded, chatted, and celebrated their shared love for K-pop. It was a gathering full of connection, laughter, and shared appreciation.

Organizer’s Statement

Jes and Kei shared that Gems of Gemini began as a simple idea between two friends who wanted to celebrate their favorite idols. Over time, that idea grew into a full-scale event that brought together a passionate community.

“This event meant a lot to us. It started as a small thought—just the two of us wanting to celebrate the boys we love, but it turned into something so much more. We put a lot of care into every detail, and to see it come to life with such a warm turnout was incredible. We love creating spaces where fans can come together, make new friends, and talk about the things that bring us joy. That’s always been our goal. Watching people trade, laugh, take photos, and enjoy the drinks and décor reminded us why we do what we do. We’re so thankful to everyone who showed up and supported us.”

Conclusion

This event was more than just a birthday celebration; it was a day filled with connection, happiness, and a shared love for two incredibly talented idols. From the moment fans walked into the venue, it was clear that every detail of the event’s management had been carefully thought out. The underwater-themed decorations, inventive beverages, photo ops, and enjoyable activities came together to provide everyone with an unforgettable experience.

Fans spent the day chatting, snapping photos, and soaking up the warm, inviting atmosphere. It didn’t matter if someone arrived with friends or solo—by the end of the day, it felt like everyone was part of one big K-pop family. Many attendees remarked that it was one of the most enjoyable and friendly fan events they had experienced in quite some time.
