Byun Baek-hyun, professionally known as Baekhyun, is a member of the 3rd generation SM top-tier pioneer K-pop group, EXO. He debuted as one of the main vocalists of EXO, but soon he proved himself to be a charismatic performer with his incredible stage presence and amiable, fun personality. He is a part of the subunit EXO CBX and is also one of the members of the group SuperM. He is known for his powerful vocals and high notes.
In 2023, Baekhyun founded the company INB100 along with EXO’s Xiumin and Chen to pursue his solo activities, henceforth adding another feather to his hat, giving himself the CEO label. Baekhyun is known as the “genius idol” and has bagged himself a fourth consecutive million seller status following his 5th solo album, Essence of Reverie. Following the release, he announced his first world tour, 2025 BAEKHYUN WORLD TOUR, which began on June 7-8 in Seoul and is set to cover multiple stops across the USA, Europe, and Asia.
Baekhyun held his concert at Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land, Texas, on 28 June 2025, which was hosted by INB100 and organized by The Bright World & Copan Global in association with LoudFunTogether. Teresa Adhikari, a big fan of Baekhyun’s sultry, raspy voice and who also finds his deep, brooding lower register very attractive, attended this concert and shared her heavenly experience.
The concert started with a soundcheck where he performed songs such as Chocolate, No Problem, Good Morning, Love Again, Cry For Love, PARANOIA. Baekhyun’s concert developed fans’ perspective about Baekhyun as an artist and person a lot, as he sings live with so much ease. He opened the concert with Young and his concert setlist included his hits such as Ghost, Pineapple Slice, Woo, Underwater, Bambi, Chocolate, Rendez-Vous, Good Morning, Love Comes Back, Lemonade, UN Village, Truth Be Told, Cold Heart, Psycho, Black Dreams, Betcha, Candy, Elevator, No Problem, Garden in the Air, Love Again and Amusement Park.
Undoubtedly, Underwater, Bambi, and Psycho took the fans’ breath away. The stage, dancers, choreo formations, lights, smoke, and ambience in all three were mesmerizing and top-notch. Psycho was the cherry on top and made the attending fans transcend into another mystic world. Bambi is the song that he should include and perform on every tour.
The dance formations and ambience creation during Underwater were surprisingly good. These unforgettable performances proved that he is not limited to being a powerful vocalist but also an incredible performer. He owned the stage, and the chemistry among the crew dancers was a chef’s kiss. Performances like Truth Be Told and Cold Heart were stunning.
The choreography, stage presence, and aura during Cold Heart with the music, lights, and dancers were incredible. Songs like Betcha, Candy, Elevator, and Good Morning were crowd pullers as during these songs the audience sang along loudly, the most, and Baekhyun acknowledged that. He was so happy, so much that he ended up singing Betcha and Candy again without the background music, and the fans joined him too.
It turned out to be a beautiful moment for both parties. Love Comes Back, a song from his latest album, its performance was intimate and magical way from every angle. With his powerful stage presence, he proved that he is an absolute and incredible performer. He dances very well, which tells that he is a polished and seasoned artist. His performances and chemistry with his crew were a treat to watch.
The production quality, including light effects, smoke, transitions, music volume, outfits, makeup, and VCR, was nothing short of spectacular. CEO Baekhyun had truly outdone himself. He also made sure to walk to every corner of the stage and interacted a lot with the attending fans. Speaking passionately in Korean, he shared long, heartfelt ments, leaving the translator scrambling at times. In between, he even called fans weird because of the noises and screams they were making.
They all sang along loudly and danced too. Several times, he took off his in-ear just to listen to them. The artist and fans both enjoyed each other’s company. And during the final moments, when he sent hearts their way, it felt like a dream. Tracks like Psycho, Bambi, Underwater, Love Come Back, Betcha, UN Village, and especially Candy became fans’ personal favorites, which left a lasting imprint. Witnessing Candy live was a full-circle moment for Teresa, a “life is complete” kind of experience.
Towards the end, the entire venue was lit up and moving in unison with Baekhyun’s direction as he performed Garden in the Air and Amusement Park, where he directed the audience on the lightstick movement, and it was a beautiful and magical moment of the night. The concert ended as white confetti was falling.
As a fan, I was extremely happy with Team Baekhyun’s performances and arrangements! However, there were shortcomings on the venue’s end regarding the eating arrangement. I hope they will rectify that. Baekhyun as an artist, as a solo artist, and as a CEO is incredible. After watching him live, I think he became my ultimate bias again lol. With my VIP Wonder package, I attended the soundcheck, which lasted 20 minutes and started past six pm. When he entered the stage, I was shaken, and he noticed me looking straight at me for a few seconds. I couldn’t capture the moment on camera as I was too excited. I was dressed in pink and white, following the dress code, and held up a poster asking him to sing “Stay Up.”
During the concert, Baekhyun acknowledged the crowd singing along to highly requested songs like ‘Cry For Love’ and ‘Paranoia’. After the show, I participated in the hi-wave session, where I shyly waved at him and showed my poster that read “Baekhyun India loves you!” He looked at it twice, first with happiness and then with surprise, nodding his head in acknowledgment. Later, during the photo session, I felt starstruck sitting in front of him. He was incredibly tall and handsome! I took two photos with him, feeling intimidated by his gaze. As I left, I said, “Have a good night, Baekhyun,” and he smiled beautifully in response.
The concert was unforgettable, with memorable performances of songs like Psycho and Bambi. I met wonderful EXOLs there, received cute freebies and banners, and got compliments on my outfit. Watching him perform after nine years of fangirling was surreal, especially since he sparked my interest in K-pop with EXO’s “Wolf.” Overall, it was a beautiful experience, and Baekhyun’s Reverie truly felt like a dream.
Baekhyun has emerged to be one of the most successful artists from SM Entertainment to his label, INB100. His on-screen personality is very fun-loving, cute, clever, charming, and entertaining. He is one of those idols who are very eye-catching owing to his talents, wit, visuals, and personality. Through Reverie, he created everlasting memories for fans all around the world. Baekhyun didn’t just perform, he created an experience.
And for those lucky enough to be there, it was nothing short of magical. His tour includes 29 cities across Asia, Europe, and America. He is now heading towards his remaining stops, which include Seattle, Oakland, Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, London, Melbourne, Sydney, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Bangkok, Tokyo, Taipei, Hong Kong, Hanoi, Kobe, Manila, Nagoya, and ending in Singapore. Let’s see what more divine moments fans will discover with Baekhyun. We hope to see him in India, somewhere soon.
