I only think of you
On autumn nights
And every now and then
It’s getting cold
– Lyrics from “Autumn Night” by Dept(뎁트)
Korean R&B fuses traditional R&B with contemporary K-pop, resulting in a distinctive genre of music. It is primarily known for its velvety, heartfelt sound. This style often blends electronic and acoustic instruments. It’s a creative mix of hip-hop, rap, soul, and funk. Its definition is still a little hazy, but the genre currently only includes a mix of rappers, ballad and pop singers, and hip-hop artists. Notable artists in this genre include Crush, Zion.T, and Dean.
When we listen to music, we feel the most relieved; we experience many feelings, whether sad or pleased. Sometimes you become the happiest human and feel so happy while listening to music that your hands and legs can’t stop dancing. Different songs are composed of various genres. One of the genres is R&B (Rhythmic and Blues). R&B songs generate momentum by incorporating repetitive yet rhythmic interconnected elements. A soothing composition, with the singer displaying strong emotional investment in the lyrics. Despite this emotional intensity, singers often project a cool, composed demeanor.
Korean R&B (K-R&B) as a genre of music has become something quite special. It has emerged as a fascinating and diverse music genre that has gained recognition as well as appreciation both locally and internationally. The Internet is one of the reasons we can connect with people through music. The soulful melodies, and heartfelt lyrics. What’s cool is that it takes some inspiration from Western R&B, but it adds a unique Korean twist, creating this mesmerizing blend of sounds. Below are the lists of some K-R&B artists that you can listen to:

All are my favourite🥰
K-R&B isn’t just music, it’s mood therapy. These artists capture emotions words can’t. Beautifully written article
I wasn’t really into Korean R&B before, but this list got me curious. The way it mixes soul and hip-hop vibes feels so fresh. I’ve already added WOODZ’s Thinkin Bout You and Dept’s Autumn Night to my queue. Looks like I’ve got a new weekend playlist to explore.
What I found especially compelling is how the article captures the evolution of Korean R&B — how it’s taken influences from American soul, jazz and hip-hop, but transformed them into something distinctly Korean in tone, language, and emotion. It reminds me of how meaningful music becomes when you hear it in your mother tongue, or feel the rhythm of your own city in it. (It’s kind of what I gravitate toward as someone who loves deeper musical layers outside the bubble of surface pop.
Among all of them I listen called it love of Gen Neo and so beautiful of DPR IAN both of songs are different from each other but have very fine music which makes them worth of listening 🎧 as Called it love is one 🕜 f the work of Gen Neo. And so beautiful is a digital debut song of DPR IAN. After reading the whole article I really get to know about different K R&B artists and their works too
First time knowing about K-R&B like this. It's really amazing to know how they evaluate ,taking influence from other pops forming it into their own rhythm.
OMG this piece is such a VIBE 😭🔥 The way you introduced each artist felt so warm and personal - I was literally adding songs to my playlist while reading. Korean R&B deserves this kind of love and YOU delivered it perfectly!! 💛
Korean R&B sounds so good
Especially with artists like Crush and Dpr Ian. Kpop is so versatile with so many genres. Great Article!
I loved how the article shows Korean R&B evolving from American influences into something uniquely Korean, full of local emotion and rhythm, perfect for those who appreciate deeper musical layers beyond pop.
