The way they cinematograph such kind of historical movie is so impressive like masquerade where king find his body double so he can protect himself and the tiger that represents japnese colonialism in south korea and japnese hired a man so they can kill last survive tiger so detailed and well explained well I didn't watch any of the movie but I want watch now masquerade

  • I have watched several Kdramas but no k-Movies. I guess this my sign haha. Rampant looks pretty interesting. The fact that they combined zombie apocalypse with Joseon Dynasty will let viewers dive into the history of South Korea with the entertaining touch of Zombies as well as the will for survival. Reading this, I think K-movies delve even deeper into South Korea's history.

  • Thanks for this list — I’ve been wanting to get into more Korean historical films and this gives me a great starting point. I loved how the write-up explained each movie’s setting, like the 88-day siege in The Great Battle. Movies mixing real history and strong stories always hit harder. I’ll definitely watch some of these soon.

  • I have never watched any historical Korean movies but this article just made me think I that I should give them a try. It was so well written.
