November 1st, 2025, was the most anticipated day for all Hallyu fans across India. K-Town 3.0, the biggest festival, took place at Malad, celebrating the Korean wave in Mumbai. For the past three years, the fans across the country have joined the fun experience related to Korea at K-TOWN. It included K-pop artists, K-food, and K-beauty, with all the K-goodies and merchandise.
This year’s celebration was memorable for all K-pop fans in India, as the lineup of K-pop artists included Taemin, Super Junior – D&E, Yedam, OneWe, and Jey. Ms. Titiksha Bhawsar, a K-fan from Nashik, Maharashtra, shared her beautiful times at the concert with us. She had been in the SHINee World since 2015, and Taemin’s performance at the showcase was a cherry on top, making it more meaningful for her.
Filled with a lively vibe, the fans arrived with unbeatable energy, dressed in the latest K-pop trends, and happily created memories in the box office queue. The festive décor glowed in shades of purple and yellow, with K-artist standees by fans. The stage was at the center with divided pits, while the surrounding area was dedicated to booths and food zones.
Starting from the Hanbok trail, visitors waited in a long queue to try on the traditional Korean attire, followed by a cozy photobooth to capture lasting memories of the day. Besides that, there was a face-painting booth, where individuals had a creative art drawn on their faces. There was a karaoke room bursting with laughter, music, and fans singing along to the lyrics, while the escape room was packed with adventure and adrenaline rushes.
The KTO booth stood out the most. They had a spin-the-wheel game where fans could win merch of BTS, SEVENTEEN, and ENHYPEN. Delulu Land was specifically for delulu fans to live in that recreational space. The queue for Photo OP (an opportunity to take a picture with the artist) was buzzing with fans’ excitement and loud K-pop music. With that, there were stalls selling K-pop merchandise, trendy clothing, a taste of Korean food, a ramen stall, fancy makeup, and delicate jewelry for visitors.
Before the live performances by K-artists, the host introduced Cygnus, a local performing group from Mumbai, who showcased their stellar moves, setting the concert vibe in the atmosphere. After them, five solo artists took over the stage with their outstanding footwork on the K-pop songs. The cheers doubled as Jey (Jung Jin-hyeong) stepped onto the platform with his radiant aura, igniting the start of a remarkable night. With a lot of fun, he began with his masterpieces, including his soulful tracks like ‘How To Love,’ ‘Wya,’ and ’24 Hour.’
As the night progressed with other artists, the second artist, Bang Yedam, enjoyed the stage appearance to the fullest. He tried to teach a melody from a song, but after six to seven attempts, he gave up. It was momentous; at each song, the vibe slowly electrified with all the sing-alongs and lightsticks swinging up in the air. He performed on songs like ‘Fallin,’ ‘Only One,’ ‘T.M.B,’ and ‘We Good,’ making the crowd bounce on his verses.
OneWe (a K-pop group with five incredible boys) was genuinely touched by the energetic fans, from performing ‘Regulus,’ and ‘Gravity,’ to ‘Meteor Shower,’ ‘Evildoer,’ and ‘A Piece of You,’ setting the bar high for all fans.
The screams before Taemin’s appearance were phenomenal. The voices only peaked, from performing to interacting shyly with fans; the duality was unbelievable and worth admiration. Songs like ‘Criminal’ and ‘Move’ were expectantly great, but a snippet of the ‘Noona, You’re So Pretty (Replay)’ song (Noona Neomu Yeoppo) was the biggest surprise for all fans, especially Indian Shawol, which left them emotional.
Super Junior – D&E were surprised to know that everyone knew all of their songs, along with having a cute interaction with fans while trying to speak in Hindi, mesmerizing them with their accent. They delivered a dynamic closing performance, especially on their song ‘Oppa, Oppa.’ The night ended with a power-packed performance by all the Korean artists.
People gathered at the venue encouraged each other with warmth, sharing their fandom stories and happily enjoying themselves with fellow fans. They had banners in their hands showcasing love for their favorite artists. From the sing-alongs to the fan chants to lightsticks glowing across the venue, the energy of the fans did not die until the very end.
Titiksha shared a lovely memory from the concert.
I had made a banner that said I’m a Shawol and that I’d been waiting to watch him perform for 10 years. He noticed the banner; even the fans around me mentioned that he read it, and he expressed that he didn’t know fans had been waiting for him for so long. Then he asked the crowd how many years we had been waiting, counting from 1 to 10 and even to 15. It was such a sweet and heartfelt moment.
Each fandom had its own uniqueness. The Shinee fandom was the most noticeable, as most people had come to see Taemin perform live. While the majority of fans were there for Taemin, the Super Junior fandom was also very active and added a lot of fun to the overall atmosphere.
Titiksha Bhawsar disclosed about the beginning of the fangirl era and living in the surreal moments she never dreamed of.
I decided to attend K-Town Fest 3.0 because Taemin was coming to perform. I’ve been a Shawol since 2015 and entered the K-World through SHINee, so getting to see Taemin live after 10 years was incredibly special. This was not only my first concert/fest, but also Taemin’s first time performing in India. Shinee has been my inspiration, and their music and artistry have been my motivation through every up and down over the past decade. When my friend made me watch Boys Over Flowers with her, I didn’t really get the hype of the series, but I absolutely loved the title song, Stand by Me, sung by Shinee. That one song led me to explore Korean music (K-pop) and, of course, SHINee themselves. Being passionate about music, I instantly connected with their vocals, compositions, and the intricate beauty of their songs. That’s how I entered the K-pop world and slowly the larger world of Korean culture. Over time, I have explored many artists, groups, and genres, so my playlist is a mix of everything; however, SHINee and SEVENTEEN remain the ones I follow the most.
At the KTO booth, I won the Going Seventeen Magazine Vol. 2, and it honestly made my day! I was already excited to see a member of my favorite group, Shinee, perform live, and winning merch from my other favorite group, SEVENTEEN, just made the whole experience even more special! I made a lot of new friends at the event! Everyone was so warm, friendly, and excited to share the experience. It really added to the fun of the day. I felt the strongest connection to the crowd while distributing Delulu Merch photocards; the number of Carats present was unexpected. During the photo op, as fans were lining up, the DJ played BooSeokSoon CBZ, and almost everyone in line started dancing and vibing to it. It was so much fun, and in that moment, we realized that the majority of fans in the line were Carats.
Taemin’s performance left me in awe, giving me that ethereal, “Is this really happening?” feeling. It had been on my bucket list for years, and I finally got to see him live. Beyond that, I discovered artists I hadn’t explored much before, like Yedam, ONEWE, and Jey, who are now reigning my playlist! Yedam completely stole the show for me! He was so energetic and fun, and the amount of energy he brought to the stage and the crowd was unbelievable. When I left the venue singing Yedam’s songs, he definitely got me hooked! ONEWE was also very, very amazing, and their performance added so much to the excitement of the day.
Super Junior – D&E were also incredible! Not only were their performances amazing, but they also interacted with fans a lot and even mentioned that they hope to return with all Super Junior members. I’m sure I’ll try to attend more of their concerts in the future if I get the chance. The crowd response was a combination of everything; there were sing-alongs, fan chants, and full-on scream moments. It was such a worthwhile experience.
One of the eventful days occurred on the 1st of November 2025, at K-Town 3.0 in Inorbit Mall, Malad, Mumbai. It was the biggest festival, bringing the vibes of Korea to India, with other experiences related to K-Culture, K-food, K-merch, performances by Korean artists, and local performing artists. The crowd energy was highlighted as a mixture of a concert and a fan meet. The excitement and cheering you’d expect at a concert, and also the friendly, interactive vibe of a fan meet, where everyone was just happy to be there and enjoy the experience together. Fans were able to witness such astonishing performances right here in India, making them happy and deepening the love for the artists and their music even more.
