An evening engulfed with food, creativity, music, and excitement at Seoul Dak in Koramangala, Bengaluru. It was an event organized by MumbaiBts with Seoul Dak on 21st December, 2025, promising a night filled with K-pop DJ, matcha, Korean food, and activities including face painting and Korean games.

Ms. Keertana Gowda, who has been in the fandom since 2019, shared how she started vibing to K-pop through BTS, followed by SEVENTEEN and TWICE. Her journey since then has sparkled even brighter. She stated,

What began with the music has turned into a whole world of meeting new people, sharing stages and fan events, and finding others with the same playlist and mindset.

Furthermore, she described the unforgettable night from the Matcha X Dak event.

The venue was spotless and truly aesthetic, with every corner thoughtfully done – from Seoul Dak’s dreamy cloud details to catchy Korean phrases, Namsan Tower motifs, and Korean palace-inspired walls that instantly transported the attendees to Seoul. All of this was combined with the crowd’s nonstop excitement and the enthusiasm of the organizers and staff.

Dress Code and Food by the Seoul Dak

Most of the crowd pulled up in full Korean High Street-Style mode. They were rocking in the K-fashion-inspired outfits that made the whole place feel like a Seoul runway. Food by Seoul Dak was an absolute standout. A well-balanced menu with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options that looked authentic and tasted super satisfying. The Korean fried chicken was crispy, flavorful, and addictive. The vegetarian sides, including French fries and Korean dumplings, were delicious and prepared well. The matcha menu, which had three flavors, was one of the highlights of the night.

Event Highlights

The event kicked off with a warm introduction to the venue by the organizers, who provided a quick walkthrough on how the night would unfold, while the crowd’s excitement rose with every detail. While the main program built up the hype, a fun face-painting corner and a DIY canvas board painting area let the audience turn their creativity into art, making the experience more interactive and memorable.

DIY Matcha Glow Bar

The menu for the Matcha was the cherry on top, with three incredible flavors – Berry Matcha, Matcha Latte, and Dirty Matcha. Each one had its own richness, smoothness, and taste that instantly made it a must-try recommendation among the attendees.

Neon Paints And Glow Graffiti

The live face painting and the crowd-led canvas board were open to every attendee to fill with their own art.  The space literally transformed into a gallery full of interaction, elevating the vibe of the event.

Board Fun Games And K-pop Trivia

The two activities made the night even more special. A lively K-pop trivia round that tested every band’s knowledge and had everyone cheering at every answer. Following, a creative game was played, where each team wrote catchy taglines for Seoul Dak’s Dirty Matcha, Matcha Latte, and Berry Matcha. Some of them even turned Katseye’s rap into hilarious matcha rhymes, making the experience full of laughter and cheers.

K-pop DJ Rave Party

The highlights of the night were the K-pop Rave Party. The DJ added many K-pop bangers to the setlist from BTS, TWICE, Blackpink, ITZY, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, Enhypen, and man. The fans happily danced their hearts out, showing off their own moves and the choreography to every track. When the iconic ‘Gangnam Style’ hit, even the restaurant staff joined in, turning the floor into one big hype stage. Being wrapped with ‘Killin’ It girl’, as per the crowd’s request, lit up the finale perfectly. For a full three spectacular hours, the energy never dipped, and the DJ kept the vibe soaring with a fabulous, fan-favorite playlist that made the entire event feel like one long performance.

Fan Experience – Ms. Keertana Gowda

Ms. Keertana Gowda shared how discovering music connected her to the culture and community behind the K-pop industry. Every comeback, concert, and cup sleeve event has made her K-pop journey more beautiful and personal.

The overall experience felt like stepping into Seoul, packed into the most awaited powerful evening, from the aesthetic of the Seoul Dak to the crowd turning up in Korean High Street style. The interactive art corners, having face painting and a community canvas, had every detail that made the event feel warmer and more creative. The Food and Matcha from Seoul Dak were the spotlight of the day, with authentic Korean fried chicken, dumplings, and three amazing matcha flavors that kept everyone fueled and happy. In addition, the K-pop trivia was quite fun with that, the quirky matcha tagline game, and a three-hour K-pop rave where the DJ served bangers of all the K-pop groups, with the epic moment of staff dancing to Gangnam Style, made it an unforgettable night full of music, culture, and pure fandom energy.

Ms. Piki Nath, one of the attendees from Bengaluru, shared her experience from the party:

Attended the K-Rave party as the opening event of Seoul Dak eatery and organized by Mumbai BTS. The most unexpected thing was the staff of the Seoul Dak slayed the evening with their cool grooving feet at the random play dance and set the party on fire. The Korean fried chicken was delightfully delicious and I definitely got busy into party so I plan to visit them again to explore all other options. I took Dirty Matcha from their various options and instantly felt like its the certified devil matcha in a cup. My taste buds wanted more so I took classic matcha and it was a green chaos in cup. I still wanted more but the party went in total swing with all the K-Poppies from the city. The DJ knows how to hype up the K-Poppies and he did extremely well with playing the bop tracks. The event organizers Mumbai BTS has always been the ace in curating any K-Pop event & everytime brings a different game styles. The K-pop trivia game encouraged the hidden talents of participants to get limelight & it was absolutely fun. Overall a great K-rave party with good music, delicious food & tasty matcha.

This article nicely shows how K-pop events in India are evolving into full cultural experiences rather than just fan gatherings. The combination of food, fashion, music, and interactive art at the Seoul Dak event reflects how fandom spaces create a sense of community where fans bond beyond just their shared love for artists.

I also liked how attendee perspectives were included, as they highlight the real impact of such events in connecting people with Korean culture through music, cuisine, and creativity. Moments like the random dance to Gangnam Style and the themed matcha activities make the event feel immersive and culturally engaging rather than just a party.
