The atmosphere was electric as audiences witnessed one of the biggest K-culture events ever held in India. The All India K-pop Grand Championship: K-Dream Stage featured not only influencers and K-pop idols but also prominent figures from the South Korean ministry and entertainment industry.

With thousands in attendance, the event was truly one to watch. Following the excitement of the opening, the stage transformed into a “battle of champions,” bringing together winners from previous All India K-pop championships. Fans were incredibly hyped to see their favorite contenders perform.

Held at the Yashobhoomi Convention Center, the event was further elevated by the presence of the First Lady of South Korea. Building on the energy from fans and dignitaries alike, three vocalists and three dance crews competed for the ultimate Grand Championship title, while their supporters cheered them on with unmatched enthusiasm.

Star Presence and Esteemed Judges

The event was hosted by India’s beloved actor Anupam Tripathi, known for his role in the global hit K-drama Squid Game, alongside Kelly Park. The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Chae Hwi-young, was also present and delivered a rousing speech. The First Lady of South Korea addressed the audience as well and spoke about the growing cultural exchange between the two nations.

The contestants were evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges, including renowned singer-songwriter and producer J. Y. Park, professional dancer Lip J, and Lee Woo-chang, CEO of HYBE India. They ensured fair judgment based purely on talent.

Performances That Lit Up the Stage

The event began on a high note with the three vocal contestants, Shruti Dasgupta, Unnati Singh Bilwal, and Abhipriya Chakraborty, who dazzled the audience with their unique performances. The excitement continued as the girl group X: IN took the stage. One of its members, Aria, is from India and expressed her joy at performing in her homeland.

The dance segment followed, with Outkasts delivering an energetic performance, followed by the bold and fiery Mixdup. Finally, 3 Plus 4 Crew impressed the audience with their charm and synchronization.

Fans were then surprised by a special appearance from Indian singer Dhvani Bhanushali, who performed her iconic song Vaaste along with Pink Venom by BLACKPINK. The performance filled the arena with excitement and nostalgia.

The stage was then taken over by K-pop boy group YOUNITE, whose high-energy performance sent the crowd into a frenzy. The excitement in the crowd was infectious. Vedansh, also known by his Instagram name Desikpopper.zip, who was invited as a guest, shared,

The event was incredible. It was our first time seeing such a high-profile VIP guest list for any Korean culture event that has been organized in Delhi so far. All the performances by the contestants were amazing. It was a delight seeing X: IN and YOUNITE perform and interact with the crowd.

Anam, who is an avid K-pop fan, shared,

I was excited to see YOUNITE & X: IN performing again on stage, but THE JYP came out of nowhere & I was totally shocked, it was an amazing event, enjoyed every bit of it, one of the best & craziest day ever.

Final Results and Closing Moments

As anticipation built, the final results were announced. Abhipriya Chakraborty won the vocal category, while 3 Plus 4 Crew claimed the top spot in the dance category.

The First Lady of South Korea returned to the stage to share encouraging words for all participants, after which the VIPs were escorted out.

To conclude the event, fans were treated to an additional performance and an interactive question-and-answer session with X:IN and YOUNITE. The artists shared their experiences in India, their favorite Indian foods, and promised to return again.

Reflecting on the overall experience, Aayushi, who was not only just an audience member but also a volunteer, shared,

The event was absolutely amazing. Seeing such incredible performances by both participants and artists was truly unforgettable. Volunteering made the experience even more special, as it gave me a chance to learn, grow, and be a part of something so exciting behind the scenes.

With that, the electrifying event came to a close, leaving fans with a sense of joy, excitement, and anticipation for what lies ahead.
