The global phenomenon of BTS continues to redefine how fans experience music, and the ARIRANG Goyang and Japan Live Screening reflects this growing trend. By bringing a large-scale concert into cinema halls, the event offered a mix of strong visuals, powerful sound, and a sense of togetherness that is usually found in live venues, and BTS Concerts are one of them.

This is the year of BTS & ARMY, also known as the Big 2026. BTS ARMY (fandom name) waited for almost four years to relive these fan moments. The idols and fans came together, creating the purple ocean again. BTS World Tour ARIRANG, Day 2 concert, which took place on the 11th April 2026 at Goyang Stadium, followed by their Japan Day 2 tour at Tokyo Dome, was live-streamed worldwide through cinemas. This screening took place in countries around the world as an opportunity for fans who could not attend in person and could still feel closely connected to the group and their performance.

Live Experience & Fan Culture in Cinemas

Goyang, Korea

As the screening began, the energy inside the cinema hall quickly shifted. Fans cheered as our BTS took the Stage. Beautiful ARMY waved their New Version Lightsticks and sang along to every song. The passion in the Hall rose to a fever pitch, transforming the screening into a concert-like experience. It didn’t just give the feeling of watching a Live concert, it felt like being present there. The Army danced like nothing else mattered, losing themselves in every beat.

In that moment, the energy shifted from exuberant celebration to heartfelt connection. It wasn’t just music; it was a pure connection, felt in every heartbeat. As the music softened, the atmosphere in the hall became intimate; BTS’s voices grew gentle and personal, as if they were speaking to each person individually, reaching through the screen with warmth. This transition deepened the audience’s emotional experience. By the end, the screening wasn’t just a concert anymore. It felt like someone tenderly touching your heart, leaving you changed. More than a memory, it became a shared moment among fellow BTS Army members: a moment of momentum, a quiet promise, and everything BTS has meant to their fans.

From Jin’s flying kiss, Jungkook’s pure love for his hyungs, Taehyung’s soft affection, Namjoon’s comforting words, Yoongi talking about Come Over, Jimin’s presence that never misses, to Hobi’s smile that feels like sunlight, everyone cherished and listened to them as if their heart depended on it.

The shared excitement quickly gave way to emotional reactions as the night progressed, creating a sense of unity among fans. This bond between BTS and the ARMY felt deeper than the music itself. Fans described how the transition from anticipation to fulfillment made the screening exceed their expectations. The cinema made the stadium atmosphere vivid, and the music perfectly filled the room. Everything looked and sounded amazing, creating a sense of truly being present. It was a beautiful, unforgettable night of pure music.

Everyone was dressed beautifully. Many young & gorgeous fans gave away cute photocards to all the other fans. This is what makes the BTS ARMY unique: they always have a strong intent to spread love, the message of BTS, making this world a beautiful place to live in.

Tokyo, Japan

Even before the concert began, the waiting area buzzed with BTS fans’ excitement and their guesses about the surprise songs. The atmosphere was quite lively, with fans interacting and discussing each other’s biases, Day one concert clips, etc. A few fans prepared freebies and gave away a pack full of Bangtan photocards, stickers, keychains, and random notes with BTS quotes.

The concert screening started with a showcase of the whole dome, which was filled with excited BTS ARMY with pickets of members, creative outfits, and large posters. All the armies were giggling and appreciating their efforts together as they looked at the big screen.

Once the concert started, there were screams and fan chants, giving out a whole concert experience. Throughout, everyone present sang-along, danced, screamed, cried, and joined the wave of Army bombs. It was a surreal moment from watching the members perform to them speaking in Japanese in between the speeches.

With loudest cheers, the BTS ARMY were hyping and admiring the members, as if their voices could reach them from the cinema. The space was a comfort zone for fans who love the members and their music with the same passion. It creates a unique, long-lasting, and respectful bond between the fans.

Setlist & Performance – Goyang & Tokyo

Every song weaved us deeper into a night we never wanted to end. Both the setlists for Goyang and Tokyo were almost similar, with surprise songs, astonishing the fans worldwide. The seven members entered the area, electrifying the audience with songs from the new album ‘ARIRANG’ and songs from their old discography. The BTS ARMY across the arena and the cinema not only danced their heart out but also got emotional watching them perform together.

There were two surprise songs set for every stage. On the Goyang Day 2, they amazed their fans with the upbeat ‘DNA’ and ‘Take Two’, the hopeful anthem. Following on the Tokyo Day 2, they stunned the fans with their 2015 masterpiece ‘For You’, which feels like an heartfelt letter and ‘Dope’ tour debut version. Additionally, the fans were spellbound by most of their stunning old pieces, which were performed in remix versions. The magnetic energy of all seven members was quite immersive and impossible to ignore.

From the beginning of the dynamic performance to the very end, the energy inside the hall and the concert arena matched equally. From the sing-along to dancing, screaming the name of members to the fan chants, the intensity was entirely on another level.

Fan Experience: Goyang, Korea

I was excited-no, not just excited. I was the fan who waited four long years to see all seven of them together again. Walking into the live screening of ARIRANG Tour at Goyang in the cinema, my heart was already full. They were in the military a year ago, served, worked, endured… and still chose to come back together, for us. For ARMY. And the moment BTS appeared… something inside me just shattered most softly. The surprise songs DNA and Take Two… I wasn’t ready. Those songs didn’t just play-they held me. And when I saw my Love, Kim Namjoon, on that massive screen… I stopped breathing for a second. I wasn’t watching him. I was falling into him. The way he stood, the way he looked… like a king, yet so gentle it hurt.

Their chaos, their laughter, even that clumsy moment when they forgot the DNA choreography-it made me laugh through tears. Because that’s them. That’s my Bangtan.

But then came Like Animals, Take Two, Into the Sun… and I just sat there, crying quietly, like my heart couldn’t hold itself together anymore. And the next moment, I was screaming, jumping, losing myself in FYA, Body to Body, 2.0, Hooligan. That “Mianhae Eomma!”, during Mic Drop, I screamed as if it was inside my soul.

When Run BTS, Dynamite, Fire, Butter, Not Today, Fake Love played… it felt like my past, my memories, my younger BTS-feeling nostalgia. I swayed completely during SWIM, like I didn’t even belong to gravity anymore. And IDOL… that parade, that power-Namjoon looked like a king, and they all shone together like something unreal. And then, our moment when they sat down and spoke. And I just listened as if I were sitting beside them. I stopped moving. I stopped breathing. They weren’t speaking to a crowd; they were speaking to me.

I dressed up for them. I wanted to be seen, even if only in spirit. I didn’t record much because Namjoon asked us to keep our phones down. And for once, I just felt everything instead of trying to capture it. Because this wasn’t just a concert. This was four years of waiting… turning into one moment where my heart finally found them again. And I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from it.

I wanted to attend both the concert screening, but destiny had some different plans, and I was not able to go to Goyang. I am glad I was able to get the tickets for the Tokyo Live Screening before it sold out. I was very excited for the D-day of this BIG 2026. From watching all the short concert clips to watching them perform live on the big screen of cinemas was the most awaited moment of my life, after patiently waiting for almost four years.

Being in the BTS Army since 2018, I was so down for the surprise songs, because each song from their old discography was quite nostalgic to me, backed with the extreme urge to sing out all the pulsing songs from Arirang. As we entered the waiting area, we were greeted with the happy chaos of none other than the fans. From dressed up in Arirang vibes to having grand laughter discussions of biases to giving out freebies, it was quite a view.

The cute moment I still remember was when one of the fans approached and gave away her last note to me. She had created colourful Bangtan-related notes, and I got the last one, which said: “Future’s Gonna Be Okay.It felt so different and overwhelming, and I thanked her for the sweet gesture. Following, when we settled in our seats, many fans shared a bunch of Bangtan freebies before the concert began. This made me realize that whether it is an actual Kpop concert or a Kpop screening in a cinema hall, you never go empty-handed back home. You go back with memories, new friends, and small things that make you smile.

The screening started with the cute interaction of fans, followed by members entering the venue, and the way we all screamed, the extraordinary zeal felt so real, like we were standing inside the Dome itself. Bangtan has never stopped mesmerizing me with their drive to make the audience crazy. We were all so lost since the Hooligan began, followed by all of their masterpieces, singing out loud, dancing to the beats, and reliving the screaming of fan-chants, together with fellow Armies. I legit had tears during ‘Come Over, Merry-Go-Round, and Like Animals.’ While I screamed the most during Dope and was quite overwhelmed during For You, it was my first time watching them perform live and sing the song, even though it was on a big screen, but my heart was full.

Witnessing the cultural part during ‘Body to Body’ and singing along with fellow fans was an intense moment for me. My heart was full when I watched all seven members together, performing and speaking with those bright smiles, and the goofy, sweet interactions between them and their fans reminded me of how badly I wanted to be back in these moments. When ‘Into the Sun’ started playing, I got lost in that moment, as they were actually singing in front of me, and I did not want it to end. I had a great time throughout the concert screening. It was a day I will store for a lifetime in my memories. I left the hall with so many memories, new friends, and freebies, with a promise to myself to be back for the upcoming screening.

Conclusion

On the 11th of April, 2026, Goyang, day 2, followed by the 18th of April, 2026, Tokyo, day 2, the BTS World Tour ‘ARIRANG’ was streamed live in cinemas worldwide, respectively. The most anticipated days for all the fans who were unable to watch them in-person. And, it was possible via big screens.

From exchanging freebies, making new friends, singing along with the members, to dancing and cheering out the fan chants loudly. So, the concert screening was not just about watching BTS perform, but also about reliving the feeling of being a part of a Global Fanbase that continues to grow stronger with time. It was two days (mornings, afternoons, and evenings) full of BTS ARMY globally, watching the seven members of Bangtan energetically and elegantly, nailing every track on their setlist with powerful performances backed by deep raps and melodious vocals, making the two days unforgettable.
