SHAUN is back with ‘So Right’ ft. Yuna

Smriti Lakra, Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Teasing the emotions of love at first sight, South Korean singer-songwriter, producer, and DJ SHAUN is back, giving us butterflies with his latest single, “So Right” featuring Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna released on Thursday, 24th February 2022, at 6 p.m. KST.

The single “So Right” is not a regular track; it is a journey that the duo orchestrated to take listeners to a sensual ride, providing hope that love is just around the corner if we can only close our eyes and trust there is. After meeting each other last October in LA, the soulful duo joined hands to create this masterpiece. The song shows off SHAUN’s top-notch production skills through sensuous beats and deep sounds complemented with the snare, finger snaps, and quicks along with Yuna’s unparalleled lyricism. Their honey vocals represent an artful experience grabbing the listener’s attention right in the first listen.

The song begins with sonic beats and fresh morning vibes with bird chirps. The first verse contains Yuna’s breathy vocals.

Hit and run

Came into my life like the morning sun

Won’t give up my heart for anyone

You doin’ it like you’re having fun, oh yeah

And SHAUN’s soft vocals in the second verse:

Take your time

This ain’t just some temporary high

Baby, it’s not like I’m gonna die (Gonna die, gonna die)

If you don’t feel the same, I’ma be alright, oh yeah

By the end of this heavenly track, you will feel so nice and listening to it on repeat will feel so right! (pun intended)

You know why-y, why-y

Shaun is currently the most-streamed DJ in Asia and also the artist behind the mega-hit single ‘Way Back Home’, streamed over 2 billion worldwide and topped number 1 in various digital charts in Asia. He is also the top 10 most streamed K-Pop male artists on Spotify in 2019, 2020, and 2021. SHAUN debuted in 2009 as a member of South Korean Indie Rock band The Koxx, and has also worked with EXO, SHINee and f(x) as a producer.

Yuna is a global top singer-songwriter, a representative of hijabsters, a compound word between hijab and hipsters. She receives enthusiastic support from the MZ generation for actively expressing modern women’s images beyond the image of a traditional Muslim woman. Her past collaboration with Usher on her breakout single ‘Crush’ peaked at No. 3 on the US Billboard Adult R&B Chart. Her 2016 album “Chapters” broke into the Top 10 of the Billboard Best R&B Albums of 2016.

In particular, this collaboration shines toward the mission of multiculturalism that the Record Label UEG (Unbound Entertainment Group) strives for and hopes to contribute to developing perspectives on Asia around the world through the emergence of Asian Americans.

Have you heard of this addictive track? What do you feel about it?
