K-dramas have become an integral part of our lives, we all binge-watch K-dramas and still can’t get enough of them. Everyone has their favourite genres when it comes to any kind of drama and movies. It may range from action to romance to fantasy to rom–com to sci–fi to horror to thriller, the list is just endless. Let’s talk about romantic K-dramas, probably the most popular genre of K-drama. Now the stories of these dramas may be based on childhood friendships, office love, enemy to lovers or any other, but all of them have the same sweet and cuddly feel that an individual expects from a drama. Today we’ll dive into the world of popular Enemy-to-Lovers K-dramas.
Playful Kiss
This drama was a huge hit and is still the favourite romantic K-drama for most of us. It tells us the bubbly romantic life of two high school students, Baek Seung-jo (played by Kim Hyun-joong) and Oh Ha-ni (played by Jung So-min). This drama is about the girl (Oh Ha-ni), a girl who is weak in studies but is head over heels for the male lead (Baek Seung-jo, a guy who is brilliant in studies) and wants him to love her in return. The pace at which the story develops is just perfect from hating each other to loving. It’s neither too stretched to make it boring, nor too condensed to make it abrupt.

Boys Over Flowers
This drama has to be one of the most classic, golden, and popular dramas of all time. Lee Min-ho played the role of Gu Jun-pyo, the leader of F4, the leader of the most powerful and popular group in college. Koo Hye-sun played the role of Geum Jan-di. The drama started with hatred between both the male and female leads and then slowly progressed over the episodes into a sweet romance. This drama has the perfect balance of friendship, hate, love, school life, and everything you expect from a drama. The chemistry between the leads is perfectly balanced. If it’s on your watch list, then hurry and go watch it!

Full House
Probably one of the most popular enemies to lovers of K-drama. This drama was not only a big hit in Korea but also worldwide, popular enough that this drama’s remake was done in Thai, Filipino, and Chinese. This drama tells us the story of a girl Han Ji-eun (played by Song Hye-kyo), who’s a writer but lost her house because of betrayal by her friends. Her house is sold to Lee Yeong-jae, an actor (played by Jeong Ji-hoon). Ji-eun is persistent in getting back her house and things turn out in a way that they have to share the house. The story develops swiftly, there is bickering, tears, comedy, smiles, and everything you need in a drama to make it perfect.

So I Married an Anti-Fan
There is a movie with the same name, so initially, it caused confusion among the viewers. The webtoon-based story is about Lee Geun-young (played by Choi Soo-young), an entertainment industry reporter who somehow gets into a misunderstanding with Woo Joon (played by Choi Tae-joon) a popular celebrity at the club’s opening. After that Geun-young is kicked out of her job for which she blames Woo Joon. Soon their hatred for each other becomes popular in the media and people, so Woo-joon’s team comes up with a TV show named “So I Married the Anti-fan”, where Geun-young plays the role of his anti-fan and Woo-joon shows off his charisma and plays the role of a good hero. While working on the show together soon their hatred for each other develops into soft and sweet love. The story is soft and sweet unlike any other intense drama, but yet it is still addictive. Enemies to Lover dramas have their own charm, they are not very intense, dark or aggressive.
