Jessica Ho (호현주) born on December 17, 1988, better known by her stage name Jessi, is a Korean-American rapper, vocalist, and lyricist. She was born in New York, brought up in New Jersey, and moved to South Korea at the age of 15.

Jessi made her debut in the year 2005 with the single album ‘Get Up’ and after a 5-year hiatus, she returned and debuted as a member of the hip-hop trio Lucky J under YMC Entertainment. Her contract with YMC Entertainment ended in October 2018. Then she signed under PSY’s record label P Nation. Since April 2023, Jessi has been under Jay Park’s agency MORE VISION. She has accomplished a lot of things throughout her career and we couldn’t be any more proud of her.

Jessi is very well known for her easy-going and friendly personality; she is a very honest and bold person who doesn’t mind speaking her mind which is something that everyone should adapt to these days. Jessi has a total of 14 million followers on Instagram and her Instagram is a perfect replica of how she is in real life; fun, bubbly and care-free. Her Instagram posts are always a pleasure to behold. Jessi is a person who doesn’t care about what others think of her, her ideology in life is to be yourself and do what you like and she has perfectly adapted this ideology of hers in real life.

On June 11, 2020, ‘Jessi Showterview’ was aired, a show in which Jessi conducted interviews in a way that one ever saw before with top-notch Korean celebrities. Accompanying her during interviews is her partner Jo Jung-shik (조정식), a South Korean actor and announcer. The interviews were filled with intriguing and thrilling questions that made the audience want to stay for more. All of the episodes are a must-watch.

Jessi has also interviewed people from both the K-Pop as well as the K-Drama industry such as Eric Nam, Sung Hoon, SHINee’s Minho, TXT and more. Every person that has been interviewed till now can be seen thoroughly enjoying the show and leaving with a smile on their face and memories and moments to cherish. On YouTube, Jessi has a total of 2.33 million followers where she uploads her music videos and their behind-the-scenes. Her page also includes a series by the name (JessiTv) JESSLIFE, containing a total of 14 episodes that showcase her daily life; kind of like daily vlogs that portray her true personality and exclusive behind-the-scenes.

Jessi is the life of the party. She is the kind of person that makes everyone laugh, and when around her one would feel immensely comfortable and would not be afraid to show their true self. A few common facts about Jessi are that she is good at boxing; her comfort food is chocolate; and her fans are called ‘Jebbies’. She is also friends with a lot of people from both the K-Pop as well as the K-Drama industry. In a highly conservative society like Korea where foreign influences are not much welcomed, she stuck to her ground and didn’t change anything about herself. Jessi from the beginning of time has always been authentic and true to her own self.

Everyone should have a true friend like Jessi; someone who doesn’t sugarcoat things and is honest with you, someone who’ll always be there to take a stand for you, and someone who’ll truly care for you and love you.
