Kim Seok-woo, popularly known by his stage name Rowoon is a versatile talent. He is an actor, a singer and has a very astonishing personality. He is blessed with a beautiful voice, good looks and impressive acting ability. He’s just good at everything he does, a dynamic aura. Not only is he a talented actor, but he is also an enthusiastic and entertaining member of the group SF9. He is a lead vocalist and the visual of SF9. He’s now a former member of the SF9. His appearance just blazes millions of hearts. Here are some of his impressive dramas that must watch K-Dramas.

Destined With You

The story is about Lee Hong-jo, a civil servant and Jang Shin-yu, a Lawyer whose relationship is driven by an age-old curse. There’s so much drama in this drama as it unveils a forbidden book that was sealed 300 years ago gets unsealed in the hands of Hong-jo as she is the owner of the book, she holds the key to Jang Shin-yu’s freedom who becomes the victim due to the curse caused by the book. Each episode gives you the thrill and curiosity to know what the mysterious hand’s story could be and how Hong-jo and Jang Shin-yu got tangled up in the first place. Rowoon did a fabulous job in the drama. He played the role of a firm lawyer on whom a spell was cast he’s shown as a person who suffers from a mysterious condition: a bloody hand that crawls over his face. Rowoon just got us more immersed in him as he looked so attractive and sophisticated that it captured many viewers’ hearts.

Tomorrow

Rowoon portrays the role of Choi Joon-woong, who gets into an unfortunate accident while looking for a job and gets involved with the grim reapers Goo Ryeon and Lim Ryung-gu, who work to save the lives of those who attempt suicide or choose to end their lives. He joins their force and works as one of their Young Crisis Management team members. The liveliness and cheekiness of the character Choi Joon-woong could not be better portrayed by anyone other than Rowoon; it felt like Rowoon was just being himself. The amount of seriousness the drama carried was all balanced by the humorous acts of Choi Joon-woong. The drama gets you hooked in each episode focusing on the grim reapers and how they operate in the afterlife tackling all the sensitive societal issues and providing them with a sense of mental justice.

Extraordinary You

Rowoon played the role of Ha-ru, a nameless character in a comic book. Ha-ru is a character that hoards all his feelings and gets small around Eun Dan-oh and fights along with her to change her fate from just being a mere extra in the book, the story also revolved around their past lives of how they died in a tragedy and that they wouldn’t get back together because of the tragedy. Rowoon gave his best to play the character of Ha-ru. He tried communicating with his eyes and read the script many times to indulge in the character. Rowoon gained a lot of popularity through this drama as this was his first ever lead role. He expanded his expectancy towards the drama with how well he suited his character. He was so dreamy it seemed like he had come straight out of a fairytale, Ha-ru is an unforgettable character, the innocence in his eyes got all our hearts fluttered with butterflies.

The King’s Affection

The drama is set during the Joseon dynasty, when twins were considered to be a bad sign. The story revolves around a princess who lives a secret life, pretending to be the Crown Prince after her fraternal twin was killed in childhood. The protagonist, Lee Hwi (Park Eun-bin), faces many horrific incidents as she grows up, trying to hide her true identity while preparing to inherit the throne. Park Eun-bin has set the standard; she’s just so talented. Jung Ji-woon (Rowoon) comes from a noble family, a royal prince who is the teacher of the crown prince. He’s a very lively, handsome, smart and optimistic person. Rowoon also sang an Ost, No Goodbye In Love, for the drama is so pacifying. This drama won the first International Emmy Awards and was the 4th most popular TV show on Netflix on Dec 11.

She Would Never Know

Rowoon played the role of Chae Hyun-seung, a rich man, the puppy love-struck male lead who falls in love with Yoon Song-ah, a cosmetic marketer and an independent woman who’s in an office romance with her boss and the boss is about to get married, Hyun-seung knowing the fact couldn’t tolerate of how her boss (lover) was deceiving her and reveals it to her later. Then the tables turn, and Song-ah and Hyun-seung start dating. The drama is based on the webtoon of the same name. It’s about the sunbae and hoobae relationship which makes it even more romantic. The chemistry between them was impeccable. Rowoon owned the show. He is loving and sweet-natured and loves a woman who has been hurting. He rarely asks anything for himself but always steps in as a protector when least expected. Truly a man who’s in one-sided love and waits patiently for his woman to consider his feelings.
