South Korea has become a favourite study hub for international students in the past few years. Due to its diverse culture and welcoming environment, more and more students are attracted to the country as their ultimate study destination. According to Ministry of Education, South Korea saw up to 182,000 new international students in 2023, increase compared to the 167,000 in 2022. Still not convinced? Well, here are a few more reasons why South Korea is the perfect destination for your study adventures.

Koreans take education as an integral part of their life and highly value it. We have seen many school-based Korean dramas reflecting the lifestyles of Korean schools and universities and how strict the education systems can be. Buses are as cheap as 1$ per kilometre. You can save tons of money by opting for local housing. Hence, living and studying are quite affordable while not compromising on the quality of life.

The Korean economy is not only stable, but also booming. South Korea is one of the leading countries in terms of high growing economy and has received the title of ‘Asian Tiger’. The government plan to have 300,000 students studying in South Korea by 2027 has led to a growth in the number of international students being enrolled. The Hallyu wave has also become a contributing factor. Along with that numerous scholarships have been provided by the government for international students. Also, the kindness of Korean people and how they are ever so ready to share their culture has made many international students feel at home.
