SONGDO CENTRAL PARK

It is a public park in Songdo district of Incheon. It’s a 100% man-made park. The planning of this park was inspired by New York’s Central Park. It was opened in August 2009. The Park has become quite famous among the people of Songdo and Incheon. You can go for one-day camping here. It is surrounded by cafes, restaurants and water taxi services. You can watch the scenes of this Park in Gangnam Style music video by PSY. There is a scene in the underground parking area where Psy had a dance battle in a yellow suit which can give you a little sight of the place.

INCHEON BRIDGE

It is the longest-spanning cable-stayed bridge connecting Songdo and Incheon International Airport. It was opened in October 2009. It is located in the northwest of Haikou City and Haidian River and to the south of Yeongjong Bridge. It turns magical at night because of shiny and dazzling lights where you can take plenty of snapshots. During construction, this bridge was used as a background for fight scenes for promotional films.

The bridge gained popularity because of the ideal location of Incheon International Airport which makes it a posher area. Here you can enjoy the serene waves of the river and take a long walk down to the bridge at night. The twinkling lights will give beauty to your shadow during the night walk, making you fall for the pleasing beauty of the Incheon Bridge.

JEONDEUNGSA TEMPLE

This is a Buddhist temple located within the Samrangseong Fortress built nearly a thousand years ago. Earlier the temple was used as a shrine for the family ancestors. You can embark on a spiritual journey and find inner peace in this temple. You can experience the daily monastic life of Korean Buddhist monks and can take part in activities like Seon Meditation and Bell Striking at dawn. This temple can give you an escape from the busy city to total isolation where you can find your soul. Activities like Ulyeok (communal work), Yebool (respect paying ceremony) and 108 Prostrations can be experienced by you. These are paid activities, and one must stay at the temple for this harmonious experience.

WOLMIDO ISLAND

Off the coast of Incheon lies a 1 km island named Wolmido. This island offers a variety of attractions such as restaurants, the Play Hill theme park, and several squares including Meeting Square, Arts Square, Performance Square, and Good Harvest Square. The Tagada Disco ride and the 115 High Ferris Wheel are some of its popular rides. Many popular varieties show like, ‘We Got Married’, ‘Running Man’, and ‘2 Days & 1 Night’ have been filmed in this theme park. The Wolmido Island is surrounded by Wolmido Theme Park, Wolmi Street, Monorail, Musical Fountain, Wolmido Lighthouse, Wolmido Cruise, and Seagull Feeding. But most importantly, it’s known for its seafood restaurants.

SONGWOL-DONG FAIRY TALE VILLAGE

It is a fairy tale-themed village located in Songwol-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon. Earlier it was called Solgol or Songsan because there were many pine trees. Later it came to be Songwol-dong as the beauty of the moon is seen through the pine forest. The village is painted in bright colours with some of the famous characters like Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, Rapunzel, Pinocchio, and more.

It’s a perfect place for couple dates, photography, visiting K-Drama sites, and street art. Here you can get a stamp made using any picture you have. You can click colourful photos at Rainbow Steps. Another thing to do is to try local street food. They have a variety of different sweets like ice cream, strawberries on a stick, Dalgona, Bungeo-ppang and Character Cotton Candy.
