100 Days My Prince (2019)
Here’s a romantic comedy with hints of mystery set in the historical period – 100 Days My Prince revolves around the story of the crown prince, the victim of a conspired struggle for the throne. The prince loses his memories and starts living with Yeon Hong-shim (played by Nam Ji-hyun), who appears to be a commoner but has a secret of her own. The story is full of funny banter and romantic moments as the unlikely couple slowly falls in love and the crown prince slowly regains his memories.
Suspicious Partner (2017)
Somehow, Nam Ji-hyun’s character, Bong-hee, is accused of killing her ex-boyfriend. This was the most unsettling of all the embarrassing situations she had been in. This gets her tangled with Ji-wook, a prosecutor turned private attorney. While working on this case, their careers are jeopardised. However, they get closer as their love brews. Soon, they realise that the killer they are trying to find is a bigger menace than anticipated. This drama is a perfect mix of swooning romance, giddy comedy and a chilling thriller.
The Witch’s Diner (2021)
Jung-jin’s perfect life comes crashing down – her job, love life, and other prospects are all ruined. With her mother’s help, she tries to get back on her feet but has no luck. Fate brings her to Hee-ra, who offers to change her life for the better for a small price. The drama revolves around the saying, “Careful for what you might wish for because it might just come true.” It builds upon a supernatural-mysterious plot with slight romance. If it’s something unique that you crave for, then this drama is a must for you.
