Busan is endowed with the most beautiful combination of natural landscape and human-made sights. There are beautiful coastlines, museums, fish markets and picturesque places.
South Korea’s Busan Metropolitan City is the second most populated city after Seoul. The 15th-century trading port town has transformed into a vibrant city with a rich cultural heritage. The city attracts many tourists with its magnificent beaches. The fish market of Jagalchi is also a center of attraction to many. Apart from the new age modernization, the city has also had political and economic importance and envelops beautiful museums and the world’s sixth-busiest port, making it an interesting place to visit. This article aims to provide a clear understanding of the place with some of the magnificent places to visit in Busan.

Taejongdae Cliffed Coast
The Taejongdae Cliffed Coast was formed as numerous rock layers were compressed together beneath a lake during the Cretaceous period and afterwards eroded by the waves over time. Numerous geological structures, such as sea caves and unusually shaped rocks, can be seen along the coast. Visitors can take pleasure in strolling along the routes through the woodland or use the train route to get to Yeongdo Coastal Culture Space and Taejongdae Observatory quickly.

Jagalchi market
South Korea’s seafood market, Jagalchi Market, is a heaven for seafood lovers. The market in Busan’s Jung-gu sells both live and dried fish. It is situated on a coastal road. The market established itself as a fish market following the Korean War. As women make up the majority of fish vendors, they are referred to as Jagalchi Ajumma, where “ajumma” is the Korean word for middle-aged woman.

Gamcheon Culture village
The most Instagrammable village in South Korea is Gamcheon Culture Village. One of the many attractions in Busan is the Gamcheon culture village. Similar to Machu Pichu, the Gamcheon culture hamlet is made up of buildings constructed in a staircase design on the mountain’s foothills. The colourful houses were adorned with captivating art pieces, forming a breathtaking view that is hard to resist.

Gwangalli Beach
The 1.4 km long and 25 m x 110 m wide Gwangalli Beach is well known for its beautiful sand. A water cleaning programme was implemented in the area, and as a result, the beach’s water is crystal-clear and popular with youthful tourists. The Gwangalli district is home to numerous romantic restaurants and cafes, as well as shops carrying well-known fashion labels, in addition to the coastline.

Seomyeon Mall
Like any other shopping mall, Seomyeon Mall is a fantastic spot to find clothes, accessories, and shoes and is a good area to go shopping. One of the nicest places to roam around the city is the shopping section, which extends to the ground floor. If you are looking for a wide selection of bands at reasonable prices, Seomyeon Underground Shopping Centre is definitely worth checking out.

The Library of Mystery Literature
This three-in-one library, cafe, and debate room is situated in Dalmaji Hill, one of the most attractive neighbourhoods in the city, and was founded by well-known crime novelist Kim Seong-jong. You can unwind with a cup of coffee and read a book or magazine in this pleasant and serene setting. The library has a total of approximately 47000 books to browse and explore, making for an impressive collection.

Goeun Museum of Photography
Attention all photographers! The Goeun Museum of Photography, which was founded in 2012, is housed in a stunning structure that can be found in Busan’s affluent Marine City neighbourhood. Visit Goeun, and chances are you’ll see one of its intriguing shows, which feature provocative pieces by both Korean and foreign artists.

Moru Sikdang
One of the most pleasant and genuine eateries in town can be found on the side of the Haeundae main strip which is less travelled by visitors. Curry is their speciality at Moru Sikdang, and in addition to their delicious regular menu, they also provide a unique taste of the day. This place is highly recommended for people who love Japanese cuisine.

Haedong Yonggungsa Trail
You’ve quite surely heard of the magnificent Haedong Yonggungsa (also known as the Temple by the sea), but did you know that Songjeong Beach has a lesser-known trail that leads there as well? You will be able to view other smaller beaches, fishing villages, and the gorgeous landscape that surrounds them by travelling this route rather than using the underground or bus.

Jangsan Mountain
One of Busan’s most beautiful mountains, Jangsan is a veritable retreat in the centre of a busy city. If you don’t feel like doing the entire ascent, you may always bring some kimbap and see the stunning streams and waterfalls that are located at its base. If you’ve lived in Busan for a while, you’ll appreciate the clear air, abundant shade, and pronounced lack of noise!
