They have globally acclaimed their presence with their electrifying performances, and accompanying a series of golden, critically acclaimed albums, they became one of Korea’s most sought-after groups. The Rose has released two EPs, one studio album, one single album and countless singles. Here, we have five of their best songs to divulge your mind and soul into!

The song is from their latest album, DUAL and was also pre-released as a single on August 25, 2023. The Rose filmed the music video of this song during their tour in Montreux, Switzerland, where they unveiled planetary mountain scenery engulfed with sunrise as the members rode bicycles showcasing the idyllic European countryside.
As directed by Christian Haahs, the music video complements and captures the profound essence of the song thoroughly. You’re Beautiful is written and produced by The Rose and renowned musicians Brian Lee and Stuart Crichton.

The song talks about the notion of the voice that clusters in our minds regarding beauty. Sometimes, the voices are of the people who make us insecure about our beauty standards, while sometimes, it’s just us who don’t feel like we belong in our mind dithering ourselves.
The song reminds us that beauty is accepting yourself the way you are, no matter how people tell you otherwise. It’s finding love in the way you feel beautiful about yourself.
Beauty’s just a state of mind
You don’t even have to try
Don’t let them tell you otherwise
You’re beautiful, I’ll tell you why
She Is In The Rain, the fan-favourite is from their 2018 EP “Dawn”, and since then, the song engrossed millions of hearts with the doleful yet heartfelt emotions one can never get over with. The song is like a salvation of loneliness and pain.
The lyrics delve into the inner conflicts of a person with an adherence to gloomy and rainy days. A melancholy use of a tale of two people, where one feels helpless, lost and forgotten while desperately waiting for something to hold onto and wanting the pain to end. The other used to be full of life and dreams, but is now left completely broken.

The “rain” reference in the song engrosses how “she” is knocked down by life. The bridge and interlude part of the song talk about how he wants to help and be there for her, while the final chorus encourages them to go through the pain together.
The song depicts how important it is to have someone in your life, who can listen to you and comprehend the message that you have your own battle to fight, but you’re never alone.
She’s in the rain
You wanna hurt yourself, I’ll stay with you
You wanna make yourself go through the pain
It’s better to be held than holding on, no, woah
Lifeline is The Rose’s new release from their album DUAL in collaboration with Transparent Arts. The song was written and produced by Alex Borel, Colin Foote, Jake Davis and The Rose. With a gleeful melody and hopeful leading-the-way beats, the song would make you smile and vibe simultaneously.
The theme of the song showcases kindness, strength, and optimism. The Rose talks about the desire to be there for someone and be their strength during low and difficult times. Days when you keep sucking out your mind about the bad things, they encourage you to come along and look for somewhere called paradise.

The unwavering support to hold on when the world crashes down or when you lose hold of yourself is just like a lifeline. While also respecting someone’s hard times and encouraging them to look for the other side. The song is a reminder by The Rose that there will always be someone who will be your lifeline, supporting you with entirety.
I know what it’s like bein’ hopeless
Bruises on your mind like it’s broken
But there’s a better life on the other side
So pick anywhere you like
The electrifying rock song “Red” was released on August 13, 2019, as the title track for their first single album (mislabeled as the third single) “Red”. A song that would make you wanna jump and dance along.
The music video of the pop-rock song features the band members while they perform on different eye-catching sceneries. They also demonstrate a wisdom of freedom and youth while hanging out together, ready to conquer the world. The lyrical composition of the song compiles a wonderful message with the most eccentric instrumentals.

“Red” depicts how one can shine bright red in a world that’s dark, never dim the light within you without caring about others and burn the brightest like fireworks. Just like the sky painted red, it’s okay to be yourself and walk alone because one day, everyone’s going to witness your flames up above.
I wanna be red
Don’t care what anyone says
Nooooo
I don’t wanna be dead
I wanna spread high above like fire
My personal favorite song from The Rose is Childhood, which feels like a fresh breath of life. Childhood is the fifth digital single, released on 15th September 2022 and is part of their full-length album “HEAL”.
The music video of the song is directed by Curry Sicong Tian, a multidisciplinary artist who goes beyond into the most alternative mode of storytelling, which she excellently augmented for this song. A masterpiece that so profoundly talks about the silent battles with the beacon of hope.

The song portrays how, during our childhood, we imagined different scenarios and dreams of the future, how everything felt so possible then, and now seems out of reach. That tiring and inevitable feeling of being stuck and waiting for your dreams to come true.
The song encourages us to be better late than to have never. A reminder of the innocence and optimistic essence of childhood, and avoid living a life full of regrets and wasted time.
Should’ve never given up
Should’ve never said “I can’t”
Judging me for who I am
Should’ve never listened, no
Black Rose loves The Rose, how they are not just artists but also an array of strength, hope and vulnerability. The Rose captivates fans around the world with their emotional music and deep, meaningful lyrics.
