On 31st August, the Blinks and Army gathered together in a joint celebration of BLACKPINK’s anniversary and the birthday celebrations of BTS members RM and Jungkook at Delhi’s Flow Brew & Dine, DLF Avenue, Saket. The dual extravaganza brought the two fandoms together for a fun time filled with music, dance, and frolic. The event was more than just a party. It highlighted the star power of BTS and BLACKPINK, showing how these two groups continue to bring people from all walks of life together through the shared love of K-pop and Korean culture.

The venue came alive as a hub of music, joy, and connection. Flow Brew & Dine, a cozy café-restaurant, proved to be the perfect setting for the event, offering plenty of space and comfort for everyone to move around freely, sing along to their favorite songs, and dance together. It was thriving with fan spirit and people donning black and pink outfits, while some carrying exclusive BTS merchandise engaged with each other and shared their common passion for Korean culture and things alike. A giant screen was put up displaying concert clips of both groups, providing a familiar beat to the fandoms.

The event kick-started with our host greeting the audience with an Annyeong (안녕) and a very brief layout of the event, which included singing and dancing performances by talented and creative young fans, followed by the birthday cake cutting to celebrate the birthdays of our idols Jeon Jungkook and RM.

Performance Highlights

The performances kicked off with enthusiasm and applause as fans showed their support and boosted the morale of the performers. Everyone lit up the afternoon as the performers indulged with the audience as they beautifully sang songs of BLACKPINK and heartwarmingly covered the music of Jungkook and RM, as well as several power-packed dance performances, which led the fans to sway with them. The crowd danced, clapped, and rocked with everyone, making the afternoon dazzling. It was a beautiful and surreal gathering as everyone pushed each performer to give their best and reflected the shared compassion for the fandom and Korean culture broadly.

The opening performance was Saanvi’s fiery rapping skills on Kill This Love, which got the crowd cheering and squealing. Following her, Prachi Sharma mesmerized the crowd with LA LISA and made the audience sing along, who cheered her all along. She also serenaded us with Jungkook’s soulful song, Still With You, making the crowd gasp with her lovely vocals. The energy in the room increased when Shama performed BLACKPINK’s mashup of Touchdown, Ddu-du Ddu-du, and Pink Venom and got the crowd dancing along with her.

Karthika’s soulful voice made the fans join and sing along with her. Another performer danced to the OG LA LISA choreography step by step and left the audience wanting more. Purnima Saren’s performance on Lovesick Girls sparked the crowd to join in on the chorus. Shreya graced us with her lively performance on The Girls and made people groove in their seats, and Angel Melon’s mashup of APT, LALISA, and Like Jennie made the crowd roar with excitement.

From Vidhi Sharma’s beautiful vocals on LALISA that made us applaud and cheer for her to Shivangi’s dance cover and Anshika’s dynamic vocals on Love To Hate Me, and from Garima’s performance on How You Like That to Khushboo’s performance, there was not a single moment when people weren’t enjoying and participating. Ashish’s show-stopper act left the audience applauding and cheering until the very end. After the BLACKPINK covers, it was time for BTS covers, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of magical. Vidya and Vidhi added to the energy in the room with their cover of Seven by Jungkook. The Sapphires raised the bar with their powerful performance on MIC DROP, and it was indeed a mic drop moment to witness them perform. And finally, Vidya wrapped up the performance with her lovely rendition of Euphoria by Jungkook again.

After the performances, it was time for some Bingo and bonding over shared love for their bias. The game was more than just winning gifts; it became a moment of shared laughter, joy, and even playful rivalry. Armys and Blinks connected over their shared love for K-pop and celebrated good music, which brought them together for these celebrations.
