Lineage

This game tops the charts every year with its amazing graphics, captivating storyline, and engaging gameplay. It was published by NCSoft and is the most popular game by the company.

It is an online multiple player game, set in medieval European times, the player has to choose to play a character in the storyline and make choices, and complete the quests I the game.

It is available in 12 different regions and various versions have been released as well, including Lineage 2M, which is set 150 years before the original story. The special feature in this one is that the player can upskill their character by collecting the SPs while completing the quests. Lineage M and Lineage W are also different versions, which are more popular as mobile games than the original Lineage, which was first intended for playing on PCs, the Nintendo Switch, and PS5, as it was released in the year 2022.

Odin: Valhalla King

This game was published by Kakao Games and was developed by the Lionheart company. It is also a role-playing game where one plays the character of Norse God Odin and follows his storyline of rising from Valhalla to reclaim his throne in Asgard.

It is based on the history of Nordic Mythology, and has a top-notch place in the mobile games in South Korea, as it was #1 in the game revenue in July 2021.

Genshin Impact

It was published by Cognosphere and is one of the most popular games, which is well known for its intensive graphics and challenging gameplay. This RPG (Role-Play Gaming) is inspired by the series Legend of Zelda: Breath of the wild. The storyline is set in the world of Tivat where the main character, solves daily and monthly quests searching for answers regarding their past and their lost sibling.

They have multiple characters that can be unlocked with higher levels and have unique battles for each character.

Blade and Soul: Resolution

This game was developed by NCSoft and published by Netmarble in the year 2017, which is the spin-off of the original Blade and Soul, which was published in 2012 and yet has had a major impact on the industry. The story is set in a martial arts-themed world where the player is on a quest to avenge his master’s death.

The game features real-time combat with vivid graphics and a lively storyline. As the character progresses to higher levels, they gain new skills. The developers have put more focus on the character set-up, making 4 main characters – Inspector, Warrantor, Historian, and Technician, who are the highlight of the game, making it more attractive to the players.

Miracle Sword

It was published by 4399 Korea and is an RPG set in a fantasy world with a main character based on famous Korean actor So Ji Sub.

The game has various battles and quests for the character to conquer the fantasy world while upgrading themselves with newer equipment and magical pets, upskilling themselves for the battles. It has an indulging main storyline as well as entertaining minigames with rewards, which keep the players engaged.

  • Cookie Run

It was published by Devsisters and has about 64 characters with more than 250 levels. It is set up in a fantasy world involving sweets, butter, and cookies.

  • Phantomgate

It was published by Netmarble in September 2018. It has a female protagonist who has to tame monsters to become the world’s strongest warrior.

  • I'm really not a fan of mobile gaming like I don't have any mobile game in my phone but reading about South korea popular mobile game totally get a interest and thinking to try one of them as most of the games are related to the historical storyline which is really so knowledgeable and informative. It's really so good thought 😄 making game related to history which not just entertain but also gives the story of past events for sure I try one of them that's a different it's not going to Last long in my phone hahaha .
