K-Event Coverage: Jungkook’s GOLDEN: The Moments Exhibition in Mumbai, India

Ever since the rise of K-Pop, especially BTS, there has been one question echoing in every ARMY’s heart. When will BTS visit India? Will we, as Indian BTS ARMY, ever get the chance to attend a concert or an official event directly connected to BTS and HYBE? Or are we destined to survive on mere Hello’s and Namaste’s during Weverse Lives, live concert screenings, or documentary films, just to feel seen and acknowledged? The answer, for now, may not be a physical visit, but it is something deeply meaningful.

While the members may not have set foot in India yet, HYBE finally brought a piece of one member’s true essence to us through a special event that carried his art, vision, and unmistakable aura. I am talking about the most talked about topic among Desi BTS ARMYs right now, the iconic solo exhibition of everyone’s favourite and BTS’s ‘Golden MaknaeJeon Jungkook’s GOLDEN: The Moments Exhibition.

Officially launched in Mayanagri Mumbai on 12th December 2025 in Mehboob Studios, the exhibition will run until 11th January 2026. The arrival of this grand and thoughtfully curated experience was made possible by BookMyShow and HYBE’s marketing team, and as a hardcore ARMY and proud Jungkook stan myself, I booked my day one ticket the moment it went live.

And was the exhibition as thrilling as it sounded from the day of its announcement? Yes, it absolutely was.

A Magical Encounter at the GOLDEN Exhibition

From the moment we arrived at the venue, it felt like we were about to step into something far beyond a simple exhibition. It almost felt as if Jeon Jungkook himself was waiting for us inside, ready to perform while we soaked in his soothing voice. The entrance welcomed us with massive, wall-sized posters of the GOLDEN album cover. Every corner was alive with ARMYs taking selfies, clicking pictures of friends, recording videos, and even creating reels. Some fans had also brought freebies, including Jungkook photocards, making the excitement feel truly next level.

Since time slots were assigned during ticket booking, we waited in the queue for our turn, spending the time meeting friends and enjoying fun photo and selfie sessions. When the doors finally opened for our slot, we were greeted with a special surprise. Each attendee received a free PVC photocard of Jungkook, placed inside a luxurious green cover that closely resembled the GOLDEN album packaging.

An Immersive Tribute to Jungkook’s Artistic Journey

Jungkook’s Golden: The Moments exhibition is thoughtfully designed to commemorate his journey from debut to the release of his first solo album, GOLDEN, and it truly lives up to the anticipation. The exhibition unfolds across multiple levels and is curated into several distinct spaces, each capturing a different phase of his artistic evolution. The spaces showcase a remarkable collection of Jungkook’s awards and treasured mementos, along with the outfits he wore throughout the GOLDEN album era, including those seen in performances and music videos. Each section is complemented by photographs from the GOLDEN album promotion era, capturing him in every iconic look and bringing those moments vividly to life.

Seeing the outfits displayed on dummies that matched Jungkook’s height and physique was an especially surreal experience. It genuinely felt as though he was standing right there in front of us. Being that close to the clothes he once wore, and even being able to touch the trophies that represented the results of his immense hard work, was overwhelming in the most emotional way. It made his journey feel incredibly real and personal, leaving many of us quietly awestruck.

What truly stood out were the thoughtfully designed photo zones. Some spaces allowed visitors to recreate his spotlight moments, while others made it feel as though you were stepping directly into one of his photo shoots, blurring the line between viewer and artist in the most immersive way.

A Journey Through Jungkook’s World

As we moved further in, clicking pictures and selfies with everything that screamed Jeon Jungkook in every corner, we reached a space where digital frames of each song from the album adorned the walls. At the centre stood a counter where a volunteer welcomed visitors with an official GOLDEN ticket, another surprisingly thoughtful part of the exhibition. Holding that beautifully designed ticket felt special, almost ceremonial.

From there, the path led us into two music rooms that instantly reminded us of the cosy home theatre vibe often seen in Jungkook’s lives. The dimly lit rooms, comfortable seating, and a large screen playing music videos and performance clips from the album created a deeply immersive experience. All we had to do was pause, sit back, and soak in his mesmerising presence. For a moment, it felt like it was just him and us in the room, as if he were not on a screen but right there with us.

Out of all the corners and spaces in the exhibition, the one that truly touched our hearts was the message room for Jungkook. The room was white, with a few framed photographs of Jungkook on one wall and the GOLDEN logo on another. Colourful markers were placed around, inviting ARMYs to write anything they wished for him. People left heartfelt messages, fun one-liners, inspiring quotes, flirty notes, personal stories, words of gratitude for him and BTS, and even beautiful drawings and graffiti. The room felt incredibly personal, and somewhere deep inside, every visitor felt emotional. We can only hope that he gets to read at least one of those messages, if not all.

The Excitement of the Pop-Up Store Experience

We then moved to the final section of the exhibition, the pop-up store. ARMYs who had pre-booked the official GOLDEN merchandise along with their tickets were busy collecting their items, while others were purchasing merch on the spot. The collection included GOLDEN T-shirts, caps, photocard sets, random photo items, etc, including posters, tote bags, keychains, a GOLDEN necklace, and a jewellery box. The prices ranged from 250 to 2200, making it accessible for fans to take a piece of the experience home.

After exploring everything, I spoke to several attendees and was surprised to learn that many of them had travelled from different cities and even other states just to be part of this exhibition. The excitement in those who were yet to enter and the reluctance to leave in those who had already completed the experience became another unforgettable memory for me. ARMYs were visibly hyped and deeply emotional, never short of words when expressing their love and blessings for Jeon Jungkook. Speaking to them made me realise how overwhelmed Jungkook himself would have felt if he had witnessed this love in person.

Mumbai.BTS Partners with BookMyShow for Groundbreaking Exhibition Launch

Ayushree, the founder of the well-known K-Pop event organising group mumbai.bts, along with her team, had the opportunity to work closely with BookMyShow, as all the PR and marketing for the exhibition is being handled by mumbai.bts. In an exclusive conversation, Ayushree shared how BookMyShow approached them for this responsibility and invited them to a special launch event held a day before the official opening, on 11th December 2025.

According to her, during the launch event, the CEO of BookMyShow mentioned that HYBE has even bigger plans for Indian BTS ARMYs, and that this solo exhibition serves as a testament to the dedication and love of Indian fans for BTS. This opens the door to more solo and group exhibitions, official events, and activities in the future, and perhaps even the first Indian concert by a BTS member or BTS themselves. Indian ARMYs are beyond grateful to HYBE for finally pausing, listening, and recognising the immense love, loyalty, and passion of Desi ARMYs. Even if not all seven, bringing a part of one member to India already feels like a powerful step closer to a long-awaited dream.

So if you have not already, start saving up, ARMYs, because the best is Yet To Come.
