Piyush Mandal, Panvel, Maharashtra: People who love the culture, music, dramas, cuisine, beauty, etc. of South Korea, have dreams to attend events related to Korean culture. When I was new to the K-world, I was very lucky to attend a Korean Fair held by Korea Tourism Organization, India (KTO), at Andaz Hotel, Aerocity, Delhi. With the help of this event, I learned a lot and many unexpected things happened which were beyond my imagination.
Vidhi Gosain, New Delhi: Kim Jong-in, better known as KAI, is the dancing machine of the Chinese-Korean boy band, EXO. Although, he is better known for his dancing skills and amazing fashion sense, his solo debut took the industry by storm. His debut mini album, self-titled KAI, released last year, on November 30, 2020; exceeded the already high expectations of EXO fans. Each song in the mini album fits well with KAI’s sensual persona and clear-cut dance moves. He proved with this EP that he is truly an all-rounder. The EP consists of 6 tracks and falls under R&B genre.

You must be wondering, what is a Simply K-Pop Con-Tour ? Well, Simply K-Pop Con-Tour is a K-Pop music show that exclusively airs on Arirang TV and their YouTube channel. Several renowned K-Pop artists from around the world interact with their fans onstage and entertain them with performances of some of their most popular songs. K-Pop fans around the world get up close with this unique music program.
Sriadita Emani (Hyderabad, Telangana), Sanskriti Pun (New Delhi) and Chandra Joshi (New Delhi): KFanzz Entertainment, is an emerging Event and Public Management start-up based in Hyderabad, that focuses on organising events to increase the relationship and the growing love between India and South Korea. Keeping in mind the pandemic, KFanzz Entertainment recently organised an online Dance Workshop on 25th April 2021. Much to their delight and anticipation, this expectation was fulfilled when popular Indian singer, record-producer, and performer Armaan Malik, American–Korean singer, song-writer, and television host Nam Beom-jin famously known as Eric Nam and Indian-American producer and DJ, Niles Hollowell-Dhar, also known as KSHMR joined together to bring the first ever K-Pop and Indian Pop collaboration song called Echo, celebrating the AAPI Heritage month.

Susmita Sanyal, Kolkata, West Bengal: ‘Yours’ is a much-awaited track that released on May 12, 2020. A collaboration between DJ Raiden and EXO’s Park Chanyeol, the track also features Lee Ha-yi and Ku Chang-mo known by their stage name as Lee Hi and Changmo respectively. It had created quite a buzz ever since the collaboration was announced. The subsequent unveiling of the teasers only added to the fervour.

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo is a 20-episode series that aired in 2016. It narrates the tragic tale of a young girl from the 21st century who is transported to the Goryeo Dynasty and finds herself caught between the politics that governs the royal household.
Exciting India also known as Fluttering India or Dugeundugeun India (두근두근 인도), is a show released in 2015 where six idols from popular K-Pop groups namely EXO’s Suho, Super Junior’s Cho Kyu-hyun, SHINee’s Choi Min-ho, INFINITE’s Kim Sung-gyu, and CNBLUE’s Lee Jong-hyun went on a trip to Mumbai, India to explore their journey under the theme ‘Wasteland of K-Pop, INDIA’.
