ONE PACT is a South Korean boy group under ARMADA Ent. The group debuted on November 30th, 2023, and consists of five members who all participated in the viral music survival show BOYS PLANET: JONGWOO, SEONGMIN, TAG, YEDAM, and JAY CHANG. Their group name, ONE PACT, is a combination of the words “one” and “impact,” meaning that they aim to gather together to create a big impact. On June 7th, 2024 (New York, NY): ONE PACT returned with their 1st single, [PARADOXX]. JAY was not part of this comeback. Read on to more about this release:

This is their first release since their debut mini-album, Moment (November 2023), having come together as a group after competing on Mnet’s BOYS PLANET. With PARADOXX, ONE PACT aims to make a strong impression on listeners by sharing genuine stories with each song.

SEONGMIN, Leader of ONE PACT stated,

“Hi, this is SEONGMIN of ONE PACT, and we’re making our first comeback as the second album PARADOXX! Since debuting with members from Boys Planet, we have had happy days, especially after meeting our fans. While we were preparing for this comeback, we had a lot of thoughts and work to do in order to show a more impactful comeback. We’d like to show a cool version of ONE PACT, as if we’re presenting a gift to fans who have been waiting for our comeback. I hope you look forward to the improved version of ONE PACT and SEONGMIN, and please send lots of love to the title track, “FXX OFF!” 

PARADOXX contains three new songs which all the members took part in producing. In addition to producing, TAG participated in composing and writing lyrics for each of the tracks. “마침표 (PERIOD)” was pre-released on May 31st, along with a music video that JONGWOO participated in helping direct. The title track, “FXX OFF,” contains an empowering message ONE PACT hopes to share with their fans, &HEART. And lastly, “DEJAVU” expresses how uncertainties can lead to pain that continues to grow over time. 

Another member of ONE PACT, TAG stated,

“Hello, this is TAG of ONE PACT. After a long hiatus since our debut, the album PARADOXX, which we diligently prepared for, has been released. With a thankful opportunity, I produced all the songs on this album, and I would say that this album is filled with challenges as we took various trials. I hope the messages in the album are carried well since we worked very hard on it, and I want our fans and the public to show positive reactions to this album.
