K-Beauty Workshop Review: Winter Glow at Myoclinix, Delhi

The Winter Glow workshop was held on January 12, 2025, at MyoClinix, Greater Kailash-II. The workshop’s main aim was to introduce the concept of Korean skincare, explain its advantages and significance, and provide a platform for Indian and Korean businesses to open doors for potential future collaborations. The workshop was organized by Kanish Malhotra and her partner Ramneek Kaur. The brands on display were Celigin Global and Island Beauty. The media partners were Hallyuism, the Korean Culture India Fan Club, and the Industrial Front. The gifting partner for the day was Ottogi, and for lunch, Korean food was provided by Sarang Café.

Opening Ceremony

The event was inaugurated following a traditional Indian practice of lighting the lamp. Dr. Adesh Mathur, founder and director of Myo Clinix, inaugurated the event along with Sweety Kachroo from Celigin Global, Jin-soon Lee, Mr. Mayank & Mrs. Sakshi Jain (founders of Island Beauty), and Dr. Raman Sharma, a renowned plastic surgeon. Afterward, Prateek Mathur, CEO of MyoClinix, introduced his clinic to the audience. It specializes in enhancing natural beauty through advanced aesthetic treatments and personalized care. It provides customized premium skincare treatments to restore, rejuvenate, and improve the skin’s natural radiance. Offered treatments include oxygen facials, microneedling, dermal fillers, hydra facials, chemical peels, laser skin rejuvenation, etc.

Chief Guests & Speaker’s Note

Workshop organizer Kanish Malhotra emphasized the importance of collaboration. She said,

“When it comes to business and B2B sessions, one way of creating business is collaboration.”

This was their very first workshop about the Korean industry aimed at building a bridge between Korean brands and Indian society. Mayank Jain from Island Beauty expressed his excitement about the partnership by saying,

“We are honored to be a part of this partnership. He added that the brand aims to bring the best of the world’s ingredients and has formulated products, especially for the Indian skin type.”

Activities

The brand Island Beauty was launched at the event. Their philosophy is “less is more,” and as a result, instead of a 7-step skincare regime, they have introduced a minimalistic 3-step skincare routine that anyone can follow with ease to achieve hydrated, luminous, and supple skin. One of the co-founders, Jin-soon Lee, demonstrated how to use their three-step skincare regime. Through this simple yet effective regime, one can achieve healthy and radiating skin. Afterward, a “myth or reality” session was conducted by the host. She posed numerous questions to the panel of experts. The panel included Dr. Adesh Mathur, Dr. Raman Sharma, Sweety Kachroo, and Mayank Jain. They busted various myths and misconceptions about skincare and aesthetic procedures. Through their wisdom and expertise, their answers enlightened the participants and cleared all of their doubts. Later on, Myo Clinix professionals showcased their painless aesthetic procedure, ‘myolift,by utilizing products from Celigin Global and Island Beauty. The results were positive, as the before and after showed a visible reduction of wrinkles and a brightened-up face.

Key Brands Showcase

Skincare products from two Korean skincare brands, i.e., Island Beauty and Celigin Global, were on display at the exhibition zone. Island Beauty, a Korean skincare brand, was specially crafted for Indian skin types by combining Ayurveda (a traditional system of Indian medicine) with Korean wisdom. The products on display included ‘Purity in a Drop Rice Water Toner and Essence.It has been crafted carefully by incorporating the goodness of turmeric, rice water, AHA, and BHA. The second one was the ‘DewDrop Evenness Serum,’ which has 50% fermented rice water, hyaluronic acid (hydration booster), and natural primer properties. And the last one was the ‘Morning Dew Moisturizer,’ a moisturizer with SPF 15 that hydrates and enhances the natural glow. The research and development (R&D) took around two years, along with 52 sample alterations, to develop an impeccable solution for Indian skin.

Skincare products from Celigin Global were on display too. The products are specially designed to reverse the signs of aging. The products on display included the ‘Celigin Brightening Peeling Toner Pad’; it exfoliates the skin and balances the pH level of the skin, as it has a pH level of 5.3. It provides instant hydration and evens out uneven skin texture. The second one was ‘Timeless Oil Mist.It strengthens the skin barrier and provides long-lasting hydration. The third one was ‘Signature Cell Biome Duo Serum.It is made up of natural extracts. In addition, it has also incorporated plant-based mucin. It nourishes the skin and reduces pigmentation and wrinkles.

Overall Experience

Numerous participants attended the workshop and received product samples, goodie bags, as well as discount coupons. They actively participated in the workshop and learned about various methods and procedures through which they could rejuvenate and enhance the quality of their skin. In addition, it was a great networking event for both Indian and Korean businesses. Towards the conclusion of the workshop, participants shared their views and experiences. They mentioned that they enjoyed the event a lot and were pleased with the arrangements. They added that,

“They would love to attend similar events in the near future.”
