An unforgettable night with J-Hope in San Antonio.
On March 26, 2025, J-Hope, the incredibly talented South Korean artist and member of the K-pop boy group BTS, delivered an unforgettable performance at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio during his World Tour Hope on the Stage. The tour began on February 28, 2025, in Seoul, South Korea, and has been a big hit. It will cover cities like Brooklyn, Chicago, Mexico City, Oakland, Los Angeles, Manila, Saitama, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, Macau, Taipei, and wrap up in Osaka on June 1, 2025.

We connected with Rashmi Basniwal, an ARMY from India who attended the San Antonio show. She got her tickets through Ticketmaster during the Army membership pre-sale. Since she had VIP tickets, she had access to the soundcheck. They were told to line up at 1:30 pm.
When they arrived at the venue, one of VIP Nation’s representatives checked them in, gave them a VIP lanyard and a wristband, and then they lined up to get inside the stadium. Once they entered, they were given a VIP merchandise box, and then they headed to buy merch.
The soundcheck was held at 6 pm CST, and the concert started at 8 pm CST. Read ahead to know more about her experience during the concert.
The concert started with the sound check, which made ARMYs completely delighted. While lining up for soundcheck, ARMYs were walking around and handed out the cutest freebies, and everyone ended up collecting so many thoughtful items. Fans cosplayed looks from “Daydream,” “Arson,” and “Yet To Come,” showcasing their extra-creative sides. The dedication and love poured into every outfit was inspiring.
The sound check started as J-Hope performed three songs, which included “STOP,” “Base Line” and “Outro: Ego,” where every beat and every move felt like magic. One of the coolest moments during sound check was when J-Hope proudly showed off his Spurs jersey with “HOPE” written on the back, which made the crowd go wild. But the cutest and most relatable moment was when he walked off stage, only to rush back in a mini panic because he realized he had forgotten his phone, and this made the entire stadium burst into laughter and cheers. It was such a wholesome, human moment.
The concert began with an iconic opening as the stage was covered with a dramatic red quilt, gently rising and falling. Then J-Hope emerged from underneath the stage, standing tall with a mic in hand, performing “What if…,” and the entire stadium held its breath. ARMYs ranging from young to old attended the concert, and one of the warmest moments was when an ARMY was found attending the concert with a poster in hand that said, “Celebrating my 73rd with Jay,” serving as a beautiful reminder that music has no age bounds. Every single person in the crowd was fully immersed in the concert, so it felt like they were all part of something much bigger than just a concert.
Another unforgettable moment was when J-Hope gave the spotlight entirely to his dance crew — he literally stepped off the stage and let them take over the stage for a full-on dance battle. I’ve never seen something like that at a concert before. It felt like a heartfelt homage to street dance culture, something that’s so deeply rooted in J-Hope’s own journey. Watching each dancer present their unique style and energy was incredible. It truly warmed every attendee’s heart and made that moment so powerful and meaningful.
One of the sweetest and most memorable parts of the night was how genuinely surprised J-Hope was by how loud the Texas ARMYs were. He kept saying he couldn’t believe the energy and volume coming from the crowd. At one point, he even pointed out somebody in a cowboy hat and joked about how the man was maintaining intense eye contact with him throughout the concert. J-Hope laughed and said, “I’ll remember you!” It was such a funny and wholesome interaction.
Later, he got even more emotional and told us that he wanted to imprint everyone’s face in his memory, so he came close to the edge of the stage and really took his time looking out at the crowd. He said, “I want to make eye contact with as many of you as possible.” It was truly connecting. That level of love and attention made the entire experience feel so personal and unforgettable.

The crowd’s energy was absolutely insane. Around 19,000 fans attended. The cheers, the screams, and the fan chants were like a thunderstorm of excitement in the best way possible. The energy inside the stadium was at its absolute peak as everyone was on their feet, dancing, jumping, and vibing with J-Hope the entire time. No one sat down even for a second. It was electric, wild, and unforgettable.

As the night drew to a close, J-Hope stood beneath the lights and promised, “I will remember Texas,” his voice echoing like a gentle vow etched into our hearts. With a final wave and a soft goodbye, he disappeared behind the curtain, and in that moment, a quiet hush fell over the crowd. It was a beautiful stillness, where joy and longing danced together.

Fans weren’t grieving the end; instead, they cherished the miracle that it all happened. Hearts were full with smiles, and eyes sparkled with tears that didn’t fall. A chapter was closed not with goodbye but with hope of knowing that this isn’t the end, just the start of something unforgettable. Not a goodbye, but a “see you soon.”
The concert included a powerful setlist of around twenty-six songs featuring tracks from his three albums—Hope World, Jack In The Box, and Hope On The Street Vol.1.

It included songs such as “What if…,” “Pandora’s Box,” “Arson,” “Stop, More,” and “On the Street (solo ver.)”. He also performed dance breaks on songs such as “Lock/Unlock,” “I Don’t Know,” and “I Wonder,” followed by “Trivia: Just Dance,” “Sweet Dreams,” “Mona Lisa,” “1 VERSE,” “Base Line,” “HANGSANG,” “Airplane,” “Airplane pt. 2,” “MIC Drop,” “Baepsae,” “Dis-ease,” “Outro: EGO,” “Daydream,” and “Chicken Noodle Soup.”
He performed “Hope World” along with an introduction to his band members, and the concert ended with an encore performance with the songs: “=” (Equal Sign), “Future,” and “NEURON.”
As a fan who had been dreaming of this moment for so many years, stepping into that stadium felt like crossing the threshold into a long-awaited dream. Every heartbeat echoed with anticipation, every light, every sound, it all felt like a world I had imagined a thousand times, now unfolding right before my eyes.
Seeing J-Hope, the artist who had inspired me through so many seasons of life, finally standing just a few feet away. It was overwhelming in the most beautiful way. The most unforgettable moment? That very first glimpse during soundcheck, also when he rose from beneath the stage, wrapped in red, mic in hand, and the world stood still. I froze, not out of fear, but out of awe. It felt like time paused just for that second — the universe giving me the moment I had been holding close for years.
And every second after was a treasure: the laughter when he forgot his phone, the dance battle that lit up the stage, the cowboy hat guy he swore to remember, and his soft words as he tried to imprint our faces into his memory. It was the kind of night that plants itself in your soul, growing roots of joy and gratitude that will last a lifetime. I waited for this moment for years, and now, it lives within me forever.
Hope on the stage’s vibe in San Antonio was incredible. The 2-day-long concert in Texas had a stage-tearing performance by J-Hope; the unity and passion of ARMYs was the show-stealer. As shared by Rashmi, a couple was seated behind, and the fanboy absolutely blew everyone away as he rapped the entire first verse of “1-Verse” flawlessly. That verse is not easy at all, yet he didn’t miss a single beat or word. It was so impressive and added even more hype to the moment.
One ARMY even printed slogans for 19,000 attending fans in the stadium; that level of energy left us speechless. This concert wasn’t just a concert; it was a celebration of J-Hope’s music and the beautiful community, including his members, team, and fans, built around him.
This surely gave the ARMY a night to remember and to connect with fans of every age. We really look forward to his remaining shows and wish to see him in India once.
