Seventeen: Power of Love was a love letter for CARATs in the form of a movie. It was released globally from 20th April 2022 to 23th April 2022. It was a documentary film of the worldwide famous K-Pop group Seventeen, starring the band members: S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seonghwan, Vernon, and Dino.
Due to the Covid pandemic, the members were not able to interact with their fans since a long time, since they weren’t able to have concerts and meet CARATs. This movie was their unfiltered thoughts and everything they wanted to tell CARATs, their fans. This movie was a compilation of their powerful performances, in-depth interviews with the members and commentaries on their past, present and future they will create with CARATs.
Along with these amazing performances and in-depth interviews we also were shown the cute chemistry of the three units and how they work on each and every album. We traced down the path of how they come up with those heartfelt lyrics and those amazing choreographies.
Beside those in-depth talks we also got the 3 units to perform some hit songs like Imperfect Love, If I, I Can’t Run Away and many more! Hoshi gave us a heart warming stage by performing Horangi Power and Dino set the stage on fire with his powerful performance on Zero.
Furthermore, they talked about their journey and their experience as a member of Seventeen. They even mentioned about the hard times during the pandemic and how they wished to perform in front of their fans. The members mentioned how thankful they are to their fans and how much strength they get through their fans. It was very emotional listening to them speak to us through their hearts and showing their gratitude towards their fandom.
When they were asked what CARATs meant to them, Dino said that CARATs are his everything, Seventeen would have been nothing without them and seventeen wouldn’t have existed without CARATs. Hoshi added on how CARATs have been a friend to him who have been by his side through the times he felt lonely and down. S.Coups made us emotional saying that he always thought of CARATs as a member of Seventeen and The8 added on how he felt that they were walking together with the fans and growing together!
The movie was like a roller coaster ride of emotions for CARATs where they felt all kinds of emotions throughout the movie! From being hyped-up over their Rock with You performance to getting emotional while they talked about their journey. It was a wonderful experience seeing Seventeen on a Big Screen with so many amazing CARATs. The best part was that there were English subtitles making it understandable for everyone! This movie made me realize how much a fan and an artist mean to each other. It’s true that many CARATs haven’t met them through concerts and fan meets but the bond between them and CARATs is still something very strong and beautiful where they strengthen each other and motivate each other to move forward!
