The All India K-Pop contest 2023 was a grand celebration of South Korean culture and music in India. The event was hosted by the Korean Cultural Centre India and presented by LG to commemorate the 50 years of diplomatic ties between the two nations. On September 16th, almost 4,000 ardent K-Pop fans congregated at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex in New Delhi to see the grand finale of the most ardent occasion.
Winners
The competition featured two categories, vocal and dance, apiece they received the crown of champions in their respective one. Delhi’s Prachi Sharma lifted the trophy in the vocal category, while Itanagar’s With Nine emerged victorious in the dance category. The runners-up were awarded LG products, and the champions were offered a trip to South Korea, making the event even more exciting for all the participants.
Chief Guests
The event was graced by the presence of the Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to India Chang Jae-bok, Mr. Saurabh Kumar the Secretary (East) in the Ministry of External Affairs and LG India’s Managing Director, Hong Ju-jeon, adding to the excitement and anticipation of the event. The runners-up and champions were awarded by the esteemed dignitaries, making it a moment to remember for all the participants.
The online round of the competition saw a whopping 11,000 entries, followed by regional rounds and semi-finals held in 11 major cities across India before culminating in the grand finale in Delhi. The energy and enthusiasm of the fans were palpable, and nothing could keep them away from the event, whether it was heavy rain or scorching heat. The immense popularity of K-Pop in India was evident from the participation and enthusiasm of the fans.
Special Features
The grand finale also featured a live video conversation with X:IN, a girl group that includes an Indian member, ARIA, as well as Anushka Sen, a popular Indian influencer and a celebratory performance by the Korean boy band MCND, which consists of the members Castle J, BIC, MINJAE, HUIJUN, and WIN, was also included in the grand finale. The group played the Indian song “Tu Meri” as well as their popular songs “ICE AGE” and “Crush” at the occasion. The event was truly a grand celebration of Korean music, dance, and culture and provided hope and inspiration to the youth of India.
The Korean Cultural Centre India has been instrumental in fostering cultural exchanges between South Korea and India and promoting Korean culture in India. The success of this contest has led the Centre to continue to create such opportunities for Indian fans of K-Pop and provide a platform for aspiring artists to showcase their talents.

The event showcased the immense popularity of K-Pop in India and gave Indian fans a chance to witness their favourite artists live.
