SEVENTEEN, a household name and an international K-pop icon, announced their fourth world tour, Right Here, with a small teaser following their conclusion of eight fan meetings in July 2024. The concert, which kicked off on October 12, 2024, in Goyang Stadium in Goyang, South Korea, was also streamed online simultaneously on Weverse and spanned to other continents like the United States, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand. Due to their increasing popularity globally, the tour tickets sold out almost immediately after they went on presale for all 10 dates.

It was a dream come true for the fans, affectionately known as Carats, who eagerly anticipated the live performance, ready to experience their firsts and connect with fellow fans from around the globe. Some were fortunate enough to witness the enchanting magic of the group in person. Read on to discover how the concert unfolded and what attendees have to share about their experiences in Jakarta and Bangkok, from enjoying the performances of all the members of SEVENTEEN to forging new connections and creating unforgettable memories.

Overview of Seventeen

SEVENTEEN is currently one of the biggest names in the Korean music industry. A group comprising thirteen incredibly talented members, SEVENTEEN’s rise to success has been extraordinary. Since their debut in 2015, they have become a household name for every K-pop fan. The group is made up of three units: the Vocal Unit (Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, and Seungkwan), the Hip-Hop Unit (S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon), and the Performance Unit (Hoshi, Jun, The8, and Dino). They got the name SEVENTEEN, representing the thirteen members, three units, and one team. Now internationally recognized with multiple accolades, including the Bonsang (main prize) and Daesang (grand prize), they have a massive global fanbase named Carats, with their popularity gaining traction in India and other parts of the world rapidly.

Jakarta Carats’ Ultimate Experience

February 8th and 9th were truly unforgettable and magical for fans as SEVENTEEN took the stage at the Jakarta International Stadium, Jakarta, mesmerizing the audience with their musical talent and sparking a wave of excitement that left everyone in awe. Two Indonesian fans who attended the concert were incredibly fortunate to experience the performance up close and revel in every moment. Dea Manuella, who attended the concert on day 1, said,

It was amazing. SEVENTEEN are known as good performers, but once you watch them live, they’ll blow your mind at how good they are. They performed the song from their latest album ‘Spill The Feels,’ with other hits like Super, Maestro, God of Music, Home, etc, and the never-ending Very Nice. It was incredible. I’d love to attend their concert again. SEVENTEEN was very hyped up during the concert, even though they were drenched in sweat. They gave their all, like 170%, and didn’t lack any energy. My favourite moment was when Dokyeom and Vernon laughed because a fanboy danced enthusiastically to their song. The best performance was Super. The stage effect, fireworks, fire, the fanchant were incredible. Overall, the concert was very hyped up and hot, as everyone was full of energy, and so were we, drenched in sweat.

Another fan, Salsabila Fitriani, who went on day 2, was equally pumped up and said,

The concert was amazing and their energy was limitless. Each unit had two songs to perform and rest were from their latest album like Love Money Fame, Ima, God of Music. It was fun, amazing, and wonderful. Seeing them for the first time warmed my heart because as a Carat I could feel the love they have for us. They were amazing, strong, and adorable. They said they will come back to Jakarta with Jeonghan and Jun! I can’t wait. We also sang Happy Birthday for Dino. From first to last beat, everthing was my favourite, but when they allowed some Carats to do freestyle, Aju Nice stood out. We were so happy, some of us we’re crying because it feels unreal seeing them in real life. Seventeen make us feels more loved. We were happy. It was amazing, beautiful and I was beyond happy. Didn’t expect that their jokes would be the same as it is that I watched in their videos (Going Seventeen). That was fun.

Bangkok Carats’ Unforgettable Night

Jakarta was ablaze, and Bangkok was no exception. February 15th and 16th sparkled like diamonds as SEVENTEEN took the stage at Rajamangala National Stadium, wrapping up their fourth world tour, which commenced last year, with unparalleled excitement. Carats from Thailand and beyond, including fans from India, packed the venue, infusing the electrifying concert with their vibrant energy.

Pratyusha, experiencing this opportunity for the first time, attended the concert with her friends Inaas and Vaishali on February 15th.

As an Indian Carat myself, I got the chance to attend SEVENTEEN’s concert right here in Bangkok. Listening to their first-ever song back in my early K-pop days, it was hard to grasp that I was part of the crowd, cheering and doing fan chants alongside fans from all over the world. They started with hit tracks like “Fear,” “Fearless,” and “Maestro,” and then moved on to fan-favorite songs like “Ash,” “Super,” and unit tracks like the Hip-Hop Unit’s “Water,” the Vocal Unit’s “Cheers to Youth,” and “Rain” by the Performance Unit.

The excitement among the trio was palpable as they could hardly believe they were flying abroad solely to watch SEVENTEEN perform live, right in front of them. First experiences are always special and memorable.

The members, while interacting with each other, were the highlight of the performance. They were playful yet so considerate towards one another and us, their fans. Though I was sitting in the back row and couldn’t see them clearly, the members came down on a cart and greeted us all, making the moment even more special.

Inaas, who has been a Carat for a very long time, as far as she can remember, shared her part about how she became a fan.

I just wanted to watch SEVENTEEN play Music Mafia on Dingo, a YouTube channel. That was the start of the rabbit hole, obviously. BSS said they were fighting for their lives, and then I discovered Sleeveless Joshua in the Left & Right Studio Choom performance (2:26). I never thought a man could look so elegant and magnificent in a sleeveless top. I started watching Going SEVENTEEN, and it became part of my routine. I watched their shows and listened to their music with no strings attached. Somehow I was loyal to BTS, but ended up loving them as well.

She also highlighted how their music just got better. Now, as they approach their 10th anniversary, she still hasn’t seen a single group produce music this well after a decade. The cherry on top? Their unhinged, “what is an idol image?” kind of humor. Content is king.”

Inaas’s streak about SEVENTEEN doesn’t end here. Being a hardcore carat, she also shed light on how being a part of a large crowd made her truly feel.

I always wondered what it would be like to be part of the crowd at their concert. A far-fetched dream I never pursued. Five years in, my love for the boys only grew deeper, but I still had no plans to see them live. Then, Jeonghan enlisted in the military, and my heart felt like it would rip apart. One day, I got a call from Pratyusha. ‘Would you travel to Bangkok to see them?’ I have never said yes so fast. It was so easy. We won the ticketing war, which was so difficult that I teared up. Fast forward—February 15, 2025, we were at the stadium. From outfits to banners and lightsticks, we were all set (except for storage).

They were right in front of our eyes. I can’t even express what I felt when I saw them for the first time. They were real people, not just celebs on my screen. It felt strange yet familiar. Of course, I see them every day online. It felt like home. I was with fellow Carats, the same people who drop comments on their YouTube videos. From energetic performances to stunning visuals, SVT RIGHT HERE was a full package. And of course, it’s a SEVENTEEN concert—you can’t leave without a comical skit. They just do whatever they want to make fans laugh.  Then came the endless Aju Nice. ‘I had a great day today too. I hope we have our next date soon.’ They made us want to come back, and that’s romantic—platonically. The entire day was filled with joyous, emotional, and unimaginably beautiful moments. Was it perfect? I’m not sure. But I can guarantee it was wholesome.

Another fellow Carat, Vaishali, shared her incredible experience and noted how attending SEVENTEEN’s concert became an unforgettable memory for her. She became a fan during the lockdown and entered the rabbit hole of SEVENTEEN fangirling because of Joshua.

When Pratyusha sent me details about SEVENTEEN’s concert happening, I knew it was meant to be. For me, SEVENTEEN is relatable. Even their fun music has meaning, which makes me feel more connected to them. I also got to experience many SEVENTEEN-themed events and had the chance to meet new Carat friends. I realized that when you go to K-pop concerts, you’re never truly alone.

Being part of a fandom, especially with K-pop, brings a sense of belonging. You feel like you’re a part of something bigger than yourself. For me, attending SEVENTEEN’s concert and being part of that fan crowd was nothing short of extraordinary. As the members thanked us for being there with a promise to return, I, too, made a promise to my future self—that I will return to see them live again and experience the same happiness I felt the first time I watched them.
