NABI, meaning “butterfly” in Korean, symbolizes transformation, growth, and freedom values that lie at the heart of the festival’s vision. Launched by Global Dictionary Studio as a language and cultural initiative, NABI was created to celebrate art, expression, and connection, while exploring how cultures meet and evolve beyond borders. Over time, the festival has evolved into a space where Korean culture is not only presented but also actively lived and reshaped by its community.

Nabi 2.0, the Indo-Korean cultural festival organized by Hallyuism India in collaboration with the Korean Culture India Fan Club (KCIFC), took place on January 31, 2026, at Ascott Ireo City Central, Sector 59, Gurugram. Designed as a community-driven cultural gathering, the festival brought together K-pop fans, performers, creators, and small businesses under one shared space, celebrating Korean culture in India.

The festival kicked off in the afternoon and continued into the evening, drawing a crowd from across Delhi NCR. Unlike formal cultural showcases, Nabi 2.0 encouraged participation at every level. Open dance floors, interactive zones, and locally run stalls kept the energy constant throughout the day. Fans were seen swapping photocards, practising choreography, and breaking into spontaneous dance sessions, while others bonded over shared playlists and favourite artists. The atmosphere made it clear that Korean culture in India is no longer distant or niche; it is something people actively experience, shape, and grow together.

The venue layout allowed easy movement between the stage and the market area, ensuring that performances, food, and fan activities remained closely connected. As the evening progressed, the festival began to feel less like a scheduled event and more like a community gathering. Groups rehearsed routines near the stage, new friendships formed over music conversations, and festival outfits became a form of personal expression. With fans, performers, and organisers freely interacting, the space felt welcoming and inclusive, leaving many attendees with a strong sense of belonging.

Nabi 2.0 was supported by influential community platforms dedicated to promoting Korean culture and emerging creative talent across India. KCIFC, the official regional head support group associated with the Korean Cultural Center India, played a key role in cultural outreach and community building among dancers, singers, and artists within the Hallyu space. Hallyuism India, as the official media partner, ensured wide digital coverage, amplifying performances, fan moments, and cultural narratives from the festival across its platforms.

The festival also welcomed Korean culture influencers who have been actively contributing to the spread of Hallyu in India through digital content and community engagement. They were invited as part of the celebration and warmly received by the Nabi team, who personally handed out curated goodies as a gesture of appreciation. This moment reflected the organisers’ intent to recognise creators and supporters within the Korean culture ecosystem, reinforcing the mutual respect and connection that defined Nabi 2.0.

Performances and Dance Highlights

Music and dance stole the show at Nabi 2.0. The stage buzzed with performances that mixed K-pop choreography with Indian moves, showing off just how creative Indian fans can get with Korean pop culture. At night, the stage of NABI 2.0 turned into a vibrant celebration of K-pop, individuality, and powerful expression.

The event began with confident solo and group performances that immediately set the stage. Heeral Chopra delivered a lively performance on “10 Minutes” and “Spaghetti,” bringing playful energy and sharp movements that warmed up the crowd. Khushi Singh followed with a poised and stylish performance on “Seoul City” and “Like Jennie,” capturing attention with her stage control and effortless charisma. Adding a bold edge to the lineup, Shreya performed on “LNGSHT” and “Look At Me,” impressing the audience with strong expressions and amazing choreography. The emotional spectrum of the night deepened with Debolina & Vishal, whose performance on “Good Goodbye” and “Stay With Me” stood out for its storytelling and emotional synchronization. The energy surged again with Priya Tiwari, confidently performing on “I’m Not Cute Anymore” and “Like Jennie,” blending attitude with precise movements. Tanya Rathi’s impressive  performance on “Whiplash,” while Ashutosh showcased versatility with his performances on “Hmm” and “Baby Don’t Stop.

The smooth transition of the performances throughout the event kept the audience fully connected. Additionally, the event was brought to life by the confident hosting of Deepika Meena, thus keeping the liveliness of the connection between the performers and the crowd alive. Not only were the performances just visually catching, but they also reflected the passion and the growing K-pop culture in India. Each performance contributed to an unforgettable evening that truly captured the spirit of NABI 2.0.

Random Play Dance and Fan Activities

One of the biggest hits? The Random Play Dance was one of the interactive segments of NABI 2.0. As iconic K-pop tracks played, fans rushed to the floor, instantly matching the choreography with impressive confidence and dance moves. It seemed like in this session, performers and fans became collective when they were all dancing for the sole interest of dancing.

Besides the Random Play Dance, there were group and solo acts that ranged from high-energy K-pop covers to fusion routines blending Korean and Indian styles. The crowd never lost steam; cheers, glowing light sticks, and chants filled the air. Instead of a clear line between performers and the audience, it felt like everyone was in it together, sharing the moment. These activities strengthened the bond between fans, making NABI 2.0 feel less like a formal event and more like a shared celebration.

K-Food, Market Stalls, and Fan Spaces

The market at Nabi 2.0 brought another layer to the festival, one that went way beyond music. Right as one walked in, they ran into stalls offering hair tinsels and temporary tattoos. Fans flocked to these spots, eager to add a little sparkle to their festival outfits. These tiny details added to the vibe and matched the playful, creative spirit of K-pop fandom.

The Global Dictionary Studio stall was packed with people hunting for K-pop posters, diaries, and all sorts of merch tied to their favorite idols. Over at Florets Flair, you found handcrafted keychains and corset-style accessories, while Aury For You displayed delicate jewelry that mixed modern design with pop flair. Henny Bear London, Floret Flair, Aury For You, and Trippy Blinders were able to make themselves seen from the rest of the other stalls owing to the kind of varied range of items that they had to offer. The varied range of items that these stalls had to offer came in the form of special accessories, handicrafts, and interesting pieces of jewelry, which were appropriate in relation to K-Culture.

And, of course, the food stalls were buzzing all day. Korean snacks and dishes kept everyone fueled, and honestly, nothing brings people together like good food. The market wasn’t just about shopping; it turned into a lively hangout where fans chatted, ate, and swapped stories. The stalls were established with the aim of adding a bit of color, creativity, and a bit of personality to the function as a whole. The kind of music that was being played at this main stage, coupled with the thrill associated with these stalls, created a lively atmosphere at this venue. All these stalls showed just how much Korean culture has woven itself into everyday life here, not just through music, but through small businesses, fan creators, and brands that make the whole scene feel alive and growing.

Overall Experience and Crowd Response

The experience offered by NABI 2.0 was certainly one that would be remembered, as it was full of energy, culture, and audience participation. The response of the audience over the span of the event was certainly very positive, as indicated by the cheers, chants, and participation, emphasizing their association with the performances, and so on. The event was a huge success, not only in terms of the cultural event but also in the sense that different kinds of people came together in the spirit of music, dance, food, and fandom. The crowd’s enthusiasm, coordination, and liking for the program made NABI 2.0 a memorable event for the celebration of Indo-Korean cultural harmony, which will be remembered for a very long time after the last performance.

NABI 2.0 sounds like it was an absolutely magical experience! I love how the writers, Divyanshi and Ayushi, captured the true meaning of the word ‘NABI’—the transformation of a niche interest into a full-blown community-driven culture. The detail about fans swapping photocards and performing fusion choreography really shows how much the Hallyu wave has evolved in India. It’s so much more than just a festival; it’s a space where people genuinely belong. Even for those of us who couldn’t attend, this article made the energy of the Random Play Dance and the bustling market stalls feel so real. Incredible coverage and very well-edited by Pooja.
