But we often find ourselves cocooned in our world, to an extent that the majority of cultures remain alien to the average individual. Even in the case of diverse musical cultures, as a fan of K-pop, I’m often asked the reason to choose and appreciate the music I listen to. After all, it is in Korean, they say. But the beautiful thing about music that most fail to notice is that one does not need to understand the language in order to enjoy it.

Reasons for BTS’ Global Popularity
Yashi Priya, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: Bangtan Sonyeondan, widely popular as BTS, is a seven-member boy band from South Korea that debuted in 2013 with their lead single ‘No More Dream’ from the album 2 Cool 4 Skool. The artists were under Big Hit Entertainment, a small company with humble beginnings. As the name of the group suggests, the septet desire “to be resistant to bullets, so it means to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that are aimed at the adolescents like bullets, to preserve the values and ideal of today’s adolescents.”
K-Album Review: INFINITE’s Top Seed
Mehak Sharma, Delhi: Boy group INFINITE made their comeback as OT6 on January 8, 2018, with their third studio album titled Top Seed. The long-awaited and highly anticipated comeback came after Lee Ho-dong, better known as Hoya, left the group in 2017, and Kim Sung-kyu recovered from his injury. The album consists of 12 tracks with ‘Tell Me’ being the title track.
